My White Pony/Black Stallion boxset arrived unexpectedly today! Really nice packaging.

 

I got mine last week. I wasn’t expecting it to have the picture booklet.

Can’t help but wonder if Carpenter’s hokey ass scene in this video is a clear sign he sent in a selfie camera video from home and was the only member not present/interested for filming. We heard rumors and such about the difficulties writing together with him and with what’s come out in more recent times, I think it’s pretty clear he’s an outlier in the band now.

They said this was a very collaborative record. Though obviously they probably aren’t happy with his recent interviews

 

Yeah, it's not clear at all. When things were supposedly tense during the writing of Gore Chino was pretty quick to dispel rumors of issues with Stef. They've been friends for decades and speculation like this is silly.

 

Unless any of the others have come out strongly against those interviews I'm not going to assume anything either way.

I know people are not happy with Stef but I def don't see that as a reason to speculate, I didn't think twice about his part in the video

Stef started it when he opened his big stupid mouth.

 

My take on it, that no one asked for. I'm guessing Whannel ran this like a film set which means everyone would have to be tested. Stef probably wouldn't agree to be tested so they just came up with this way for him to be in the video.

Just catching some of the references in this video. Didn't notice the owl on the wall next to Abe first time around.

 

can't help but compare this to Deftones, but I think people will dig it

This is certainly not bad - I'd have to give it a few listens and maybe check out a few other tracks to see if they have their own clear identity... It's almost TOO MUCH like Deftones for me.

 

Okay now listening to the track White Noise - really dig the riffs in that one.

 

Their drummer needs to do less.
