Yeah I’m actually excited to watch Monsters of California now after listening to this. I didn’t have much interest before.

 

Yeah that was a really fun listen! Correctly titled the Mark and Tom show.

Cool to see Mark supporting Tom on his crazy (but actually accurate) hunt for exposing the truth behind UFO’s. I mean that was partially the reason he left Blink the second time around as Mark and Travis wanted to get in the studio but Tom couldn’t reveal why he couldn’t given the secrecy.

I completely forgot Tom interviewed Mel Gibson haha.

Was totally expecting Tom to reveal his favourite Blink video was Feeling This but Always was a very close second.

Still think the new AVA single is the best song Tom has been involved in for years.

 

This was awesome. I'm convinced that we will see Mark Tom and Travis back on a stage someday. Maybe no new songs or no new album but just awesome to see that these guys are all friends with each other still despite the band falling out. Great listen

 

A Mark and Tom podcast would be dope

 

Aliens and fart jokes for an hour. I'll take it.

 

It's unfortunate that it took stage 4 cancer to keep the anti-blink trolls quiet.

 

Such a fun conversation. I loved how Tom's go-to question when he meets a celebrity is "Why are you so handsome?"

Loved hearing Mark and Tom going back and forth like that again. Need to check out more of Mark's show now.

 

It’s still crazy to me that Tom let Blink go. I get that artists need for different projects creatively, and wanting to have projects outside music and balancing family.

 

Yeah the interview was really great. Tom literally has the exact same sense of humor as he always did, when he said something like "I was in the team locker room but nobody was showering so I left" I laughed because it's literally something he would have said on the Mark Tom and Travis Show lol

When these guys are friends I'm happy, any resulting tours or music will just be icing on the cake for me. A Mark and Tom podcast is a great idea

 

Pretty much how I feel. Even though Tom did the majority of the talking (since he was the one being interviewed), this is one of the first times since the first hiatus that I didn't feel some weird underlying tension between them. It was nice hearing them legitimately get along.

 

Yeah, that conversation was great to hear. Even if a little short.

I wonder if all of his work around UFOs now being public helped Mark and Travis understand why Tom left the second time. Regardless, it’s clear he is better doing AvA that he can stop and start whenever he wants.

I would still love to see them reunite and do music together eventually without pressure or anything.

 

I found it interesting that Mark set up a chance for Tom to tee off on him and Travis about the 2nd leaving when he asked him if he felt "vindicated" after the UFO stuff came out... thankfully both seem to have handled it with class. Great listen, and yes, I'd adore a podcast with these 2/3 just sharing stories of the past

 

The story Tom tells about his dad passing away, literally everything he described also happened to me when my aunt passed away. Pretty crazy.

 

I mean....I'd hope at this point in life with what is/has been going on with them individually, they realize all the BS in the past means nothing and at the end of the day they're their for each other because they love, care, support, and encourage one another to keep after their goals, even if they don't align or if they're not doing it together. They have to realize what they accomplished together is practically untouchable. It will never go away. I'm sure they know that.

It's obvious how passionate Tom is about the whole "UAP" stuff too. He lights up when talking about it. You can tell Mark isn't into it or really believes in anything about it and will make fun of it any chance he gets, but I love that he still showed respect to Tom by telling him that he loves how fearless and not afraid of failure Tom is. Same goes for Tom telling Mark he loves that Mark basically becomes an expert in anything he gains interest in. With those two characteristics mixed with Travis' creative edge and 'hard hat-lunch pail-clocking in' attitude....no wonder these dudes accomplished what they have so far.

 

I remember hearing Mark talk about Tom buying a computer back in '99 to research phenomena. It must be surreal seeing how far his friend has come with the subject matter. Any friend could appreciate that.

Ahhh listening to this lifted my mood a bit.

 

Listened to The Transplants discography today. Forgot how fun they are. Would totally be down for another album.

 

That first transplants album was solid start to finish definitely one of my favorite barker projects

 

Wonder if Joe Rogan would ever apologise to Tom? He was a complete ass to him on the podcast

 

it holds up super well. So many rad songs. In A Warzone stick out most to me today during my discog run.

 

Joe Rogan is a complete ass.

 

he won’t apologize to Tom for that or making fun of him to Travis’ face. Rogan has been all about alien shit now that stuff has been coming out and more people are talking about it too. Pretty sure he’s even had one or two guests that worked with Tom on stuff, yet he was respectable to them.
