Joe Dirt next week, a movie I saw before Forest Gump AND Silence of the Lambs and colored my opinions on each of them

 

Can’t think of a more Ben pick than Joe Dirt lol

 

Is Abduction actually the worst movie they’ve ever covered? Some of those late period Burton’s like Alice in Wonderland were truly abysmal too

 

Yeah but they have at least good things in the “below the line” categories. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about Abduction.

 

Abduction is fine. It’s not offensively bad, it’s just bland as hell

 

Hard disagree it’s actively incompetent

 

the end of the Space Jam episode is Pure Art

 

I was listening to the end of the episode and my wife walked in, stood there for 30 seconds listening, and just asked what the fuck was happening

 

I had to take out on headphone cause I really just wanted to listen to David and James talk basketball. Forget the video podcast, I would totally listen to an NBA pod hosted by David.

 

I’ve listen to BC only a handful of times but I am STOKED for this!!

was hoping for Pod-oirs of An Invisible Cast or Pod Trouble in Little Casta or In the Pod of Castness or Poddage of the Cast or Podsault on Castcinct 13

 

Also I watched Dark Star the other night on Crackle and wasn't a fan lol

 

I really liked the beginning of Dark Star and I REALLY like the end of Dark Star, but felt like the middle was kinda aimless and boring.

Finding out Dark Star was his student film and the stuff in the middle was added to bring it up to feature length explained everything for me.

 

I’d have to assume the Hotel Transylvania episode is gonna be immediately post Carpenter since it’s not on the schedule anymore

Edit: never mind, just noticed that 10/3 isn’t on that schedule

 

ok learning that it's an expanded student film makes it way more impressive lol

 

Really excited for this one. Love so many of these movies. Will be great series.

 

Yep if it doesn’t get pushed it’ll be then, otherwise I imagine they’ll just move everything up a week.

 

Holy shit the runtime on the Halloween episode. More than 2x the length of the movie!

Not even an hour into this and it's already one for the books.

 

Just finished the episode finally. Definitely one of their best ever.

 

Haven't listened to the Halloween ep yet but finally watched Assault On Precinct 13 for the pod. Really great stuff, excited to check out some of Carpenter stuff beyond the big horror ones
