I've been into B&W a lot lately, and man Color is such an unbelievably good song.

 

Color and Don’t Stop Now are great songs. While a little cheesy, I also have a soft spot for Listen to Your Heart.

 

Most of the album is extremely solid to me. Not something I would've said until recently. The only song that stands out as really gross and bad is Give It to Me.

 

I wish they did play more from B&W. Hearing Color at 8123 fest was such a treat and I’d love for it to get played more on tour.

 

Album thoughts:
Good album, a step down from You Are Ok but still a nice record.
If Your Light Goes Out sounds like an Imagine Dragons song.
Sticky is fantastically catchy.
The one-two punch of Anxiety in Real Time and Face Towards the Sun is the album's strongest moment and a perfect ending.

 

Color is a top 10 Maine song for me.

 

After some time with this, I still really love it. Next time I swear I will not listen to any singles before because I could only imagine how much I’d be replaying this if I hadn’t heard about half of it before. Light, optimistic, and energetic. Love these dudes.

 

this band is really starting to get some notable traction, more so than most of their career and I'm absolutely here for it

 

After listening to this thing just A TON over the past few weeks or so....the middle of this thing drags things down a ton. Record starts off great and ends great. Middle (tracks 4-6) is just meh. I find myself skipping them often in some capacity.

Favorite tracks are Sticky, DPB, and Anxiety in Real Time.

 

I went on a trip with some friends last week and played them this album on the car ride. They only really listen to mainstream radio and never heard of The Maine before, and they absolutely loved Dirty Pretty Beautiful and Anxiety in Real Time. Made me repeat those two songs like 10 times on the ride haha
I really hope this album gains more traction for them.

 

I would agree that High Forever thru If Your Light Goes Out is the weakest stretch of the record however April 7th is one of the best on the record still imo regardless, it’s just weird smack in the middle of the two worst (imo) tracks here.

 

Pretender through Face Towards the Sun is such a good run. Agreed that the middle is the weakest, but I don't think it's bad, just less good. Like getting free vanilla ice cream instead of free cookies and cream

yep, John's voice is great, don't care for the dance/rave vibe but good song none the less..

Are we going to get "Light The Match" anytime soon...thats the song we all need after they played a snippet of it on Pillar.Killer track

 

I'm hoping for Light The Match and the full version of Love In Real Time PLEASE

 

Do this song straight up and maybe another cover and you got a dope ass ep
