"Plot details are vague, but “Babylon” is said take place during the transition from silent films to talkies and will feature a mix of real-life and fictional characters, similar to Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” While the exact budget is still to be determined, sources have indicated Chazelle will be assembling an all-star ensemble to share the screen with Stone and Pitt. i'm in, seeing as his last three movies are varying levels of good

damn where's she been at the past few years, feel like after Alien: Covenant she disappeared

 

She and Joaquin are busy

 

have never really loved one of his, first man comes the closest, but it's hard for me to imagine not loving anything with this cast

 

AND first man! he made that movie also!

 

An older script for this is out and it's fucking wild (but I'd imagine some stuff will be cut because it's super long and makes the debauchery scenes in Wolf of Wall Street look like a PG movie).

Chazelle of all people will knock it out of the park

 

Yea from what I've heard, this is essentially The Wolf of Wall Street but during the Golden Age of Hollywood.

 

this is apparently a three hour movie

 

i haven't loved any of his movies except first man. we'll see

 

Whiplash rules. Other stuff is whatever

 

this better not turn into a relitigating of la la land in 2022 smh

 

Whiplash and La La Land are two of my all time favoutites. I loved First Man but not quite as much as those, hoping this can hit those heights for me again.
