    Signal Vs. Noise Prestigious

Considering they posted the album art on Facebook along with the announcement of the announcement I'd consider that a sure thing.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Two dates have leaked out--both in October 2016. Makes me think the ten-year tour is less likely.

    but does it djent?

What about a band like Ghost? Certainly different but I think they could fit in with Metallica. Also I didn't even know A7X/Volbeat opened for the one off show, so it goes to tell how likely it could be.

Ghost would be better received during the European tour. Don't get me wrong, they're on the rise but they might be a little too soft for US Metallica fans that are looking for that "in your face" style of metal.

Patent Pending is opening for Set It Off on their upcoming tour. Too bad there isn't a Chicago date. I would have gone just to see Patent Pending.

That's a very interesting pairing. I love Patent Pending. I just hope the SIO crowd appreciates them.

I would love to see them take Baroness out with them.

Completely forgot Baroness share management with Metallica (and Volbeat too) so thats probably pretty likely, especially since Baroness have yet to do a support tour on their current album

James is a big Ghost fan and they have done Euro runs together, so thats a great idea too

Babymetal is the only band I want to see open for Metallica.

I'd rather see Metallica open for someone else at this point.

    Things have changed.

How many active bands are bigger in the WORLD than Metallica? Three?

I would probably go see Metallica on their next tour. Not a huge fan, but I have never seen them, and I'm sure they put on a great show.

The last time Metallica had opened for someone was 2005 for The Rolling Stones. And that was huge considering it had been 19 years since then that they had opened for anyone. As far as an opener I could see Amon Amarth, or maybe Stone Sour since Slipknot will probably be taking time off.

That lineup was a great time. I would love to see Enter Shikari open for them.

Parkway Drive just announced a UK/EU tour with Asking Alexandria as support. Did I miss something or did Parkway shoot up in popularity over AA or did AA just lose a lot of steam? I'm saying this as someone who strongly prefers Parkway over AA, I just always assumed AA was more popular especially over in the UK.

I figured they were about the same.

    but does it djent?

Personally speaking, I would lose my shit if Slipknot opened for Metallica but that's never gonna happen sadly.
Bands bigger than Metallica? I can see AC/DC, Ozzy/Black Sabbath maybe, and that's probably it.

Slipknot supporting Metallica wouldn't be impossible if another Summer Sanitarium/stadium level tour happened

Summer Sanitarium 03 is still one of my favorite concerts of all time (Metallica, Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones and Mudvayne). I'd love a Metallica, Slipknot, Volbeat, (insert 2 bands here) tour!

  22. bstadtfeld

    but does it djent?

The other two bands could be bands like Hellyeah, Sevendust, Trivium, or Killswitch Engage.

Metallica / Slipknot / Lamb Of God / Killswitch Engage / Gojira

is the sort of lineup metal needs

Perfect! Hell, you can even make it 10 bands and have the 2nd stage in the parking lot. I'd guess pit tickets would be $200 for that haha
