haunted mansion episode was much better now it’s starting to get somewhere

I feel so bad for those employees having to start reinforcing that in the July heat.

 

They’ve done it before in July - September 2020 heat

As long as they are consistent, it can be just as effective as it was then.

 

Going to the parks a few times since they lifted the mask policy, it was so obvious that it would trend badly.

The country’s vaccination rate is still around 60 something percent, yet (what looks like) 95 percent of guests are maskless. Ok

 

Really enjoyed the Tower of Terror episode.

 

Very happy that they did this before my trip next month.

 

We did WDW at the end of Feb/beginning of March and, while it was a bit toasty at times, we can't imagine how bad it is during the summer doing this (and my wife was a furry at WDW years ago).... no chance we'd go during the summer in these conditions.

Just so mad/angry/sad that so many people HAVE been vaxxed (my wife and myself included, but of course not our under 12 kids) and yet here we are due to so many stupid people.

 

That was a different circumstance. It is going to be harder to get people to go back to wearing masks after being told they did not have to wear them anymore.

I don't know about Disney, but Universal had a big problem with actual enforcement. When they opened those two Halloween Horror Night houses last year, an employee was angry about having to tell a family to put their masks on so many times that they asked their supervisor to kick them out of the line at least. The supervisor went over and told them to put their mask on.

Requiring masks is the right move but we have all seen or heard of the videos of people screaming and attacking people the first time we started requiring masks. There is more resistance now.

 

Imagine screaming at an employee, for any reason. Pathetic.

 

My birthday was yesterday, and the wife surprised me with tickets to EPCOT tomorrow (July 30th). We are both vaccinated, and we have NO issues wearing a mask when needed or if we dont feel comfortable. I dont understand the big problem with wearing one, yes it is hot, but come on. I am going to enjoy the day regardless and eat and drink wayyyyy too much. Curious how the crowds and other guests act....

 

I would definitely suggest bringing a second mask if you are going to the theme parks in the summer. The sweat is coming whether you like it or not.

I have an annual pass and live within an hour but I haven't gone since May because it is just too hot.

 

Yeah she told me she debated on going since it is so hot, but we havent been since like January 2020, and really wanna do the F&W. Stoked regardless of the heat!

They should require theme park visitors to do the same.

 

They should also bring back fastpass (unrelated)

 

Fastpass? More like hardpass amirite (yes).

It was so nice at WDW and DL not dealing with that/lines stopping all the time for the FP line to go through.

 

Luckily when it comes back we’ll have to pay for it, as a treat
