So depressing seeing 311 playing these kinds of events.

At least they don’t have to - they still play big venues on their own unlike the rest of these bands.

I’m about to hold off on buying tickets for anything else…. think we might see some postponements sooner than later

yeah, that -- but also they do tend to get on some weird-ass festival bills like this every now and then.

The new Fuel with a new vocalist should also be here just to offset Brett Scallions on the other night lol

yeah I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for losing my packed fall schedule. my first show back is in a week and I’m hoping I can just squeeze that one in at least

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

It’s crazy. Their fall tour, they’re playing venues that were supposed to host the Incubus tour they were opening. But yeah, the demand is there

It’s really strange to see them play a reggae fest like California Roots, then play Aftershock Fest. But their fan base is kinda all over the place

I believe they were also in some sort of LiveNation deal that required those package-type tours with Incubus/offspring for bigger "shed"-type venues, too. interesting situation for them, really, with no commercial viability anymore

Incubus/311/Offspring would actually make sense as a shed tour these days and STILL struggle in some markets

Incubus might be one of the top 3 live bands I’ve ever seen . Watch this video from the 5 minute mark, it’s some of the best stuff I’ve ever seen

100000% this. Which is also why we've decided to just do another year of home school for our oldest kid (only school aged kid).

We have tickets to Brad Paisley in 2 weeks in Dallas.... we'll see if that happens. Knowing TX, it likely will, but... I'm sure a lot of concerts will be "postponed" in the coming weeks.

I also think there will be some postponements & stricter enforcement announced in the near future (in some places). Summing up this Washington Post article:

-Internal document within the CDC urges that they "acknowledge the war has changed"
-Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox, more contagious than the viruses behind MERS, SARS, Ebola, 1918 flu, smallpox
-Mild breakthrough infections may not be so rare
-Vaccinated people who get breakthrough infections may just as easily spread the delta variant as unvaccinated people
-Outbreak in Provincetown, MA of vaccinated people transmitting the virus to other vaccinated people
-General public's confidence in the vaccine's efficiency is decreasing

TLDR.... We know the Delta variant is bad, but it's worse than that.

This is an interesting thread. The vaccines are still working. The biggest problem is dipshits won't take it.

  22. I have tickets to 9 shows between mid August and October. I really hope all of them get to happen.

Totally agree. But my issue now is that despite being vaxxed for 4 months,I don’t want to get a mild breakthrough infection & infect someone who gets really sick or dies just because they’re scared to get the vaccine. All because I wanted to see Limp Bizkit. I’m starting to really reconsider my future plans,I’ve got 15 shows & 2 festivals planned in the next 4 months

Yeah, don't get me wrong. This is still all bad. And it should have never gotten to this point. This is what happens when you let a virus run wild (and half the country spreads misinformation). The virus will continue to mutate and get even more dangerous. We should have never been in this position - as vaccines have been widely available for like, four months now.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind shows will be postponed/cancelled.
