It is still stunning to me how bad the return for Yelich turned out. Every single one of the four guys is currently below replacement level for their careers. I always liked Diaz coming up and everyone thought Brinson would be great. Really would have been a scary core had it worked out

 

Speaking of Yelich, what happened to this guy? Dude was like the best player in the National League for two seasons then fell off a cliff. He's not even 30 yet.

I was upset, but still optimistic when it happened but would’ve never expected 3/4 to be flat out terrible players lol. Yamamoto was the best of the bunch and of course we traded him

I feel like there's still a chance for Yelich to turn it around and be really good again. He was incredible in 2019. I don't put much weight on 2020 stats because it was a weird season and a lot of guys struggled. Guess time will tell, I don't watch him play or anything so I can't say I have any idea why he has struggled.

I could say the same about Bellinger but he's doing horrible and way worse than Yelich this year so idk if that's something you can turn around lol

 

Yelich had the knee issue last year I’m pretty sure, not sure about this year though, Drew would know.

would it be crazy to send Bellinger down to AAA and let him find his swing again?

 

I was gonna say he has a right to refuse an outright assignment but he actually doesn't yet which is nuts
