Have a feeling he's going to be an absolute bargain in FPL this season for £5.5 mil.

I don’t know enough about the hierarchy of decision-making on their board, but if it’s in Beckham’s hands I can’t see Phil getting the boot.

But good lord they are a travesty on every level.

Those highlights look like an MLS game from 20 years ago, probably not a good sign for Miami.

That 3rd goal was a cracking little finish.

  7. It's worth noting that Miami has the most expensive squad in the league lol

Bloody love Smith-Rowe. Him and Saka and Pepe are going to be exciting this season.

This is their second season as a club isn't it? Presume they're doing even worse than last year?

Starting a club from scratch and being expected to then immediately compete with much more established clubs with established systems and styles of play must be incredibly difficult to be fair. But all the more reason why you need a competent manager rather than ... well, Phil Neville.

This reminded me that I needed to ask @Garrett to start pimping out the Chorus.fm league. If we could get 10+ players again like last year that would be great.

There is a “right” way to build your roster as an MLS expansion side, and then there’s the “let’s sign the corpse of Ryan Shawcross” way.

Not defending Neville’s competency, but ownership thought they could take the shortcut and just sign big names.....most of whom have proven they’re either past it, or can’t be bothered to give a shit.

Nashville entered the league at the same, built a roster of MLS veterans, and made the playoffs.

Yeah. Atlanta (Tata Martino) and LAFC (Bob Bradley) coming into the league to immediate success probably doesn’t help how bad Miami look right now, either. But yeah. Neville has been a disaster

  13. I really hope Charlotte can be at least decent. After reading, I do like the coach we hired. So we'll see how the roster shapes up.

I’m just glad that the southeast is finally getting teams in the last few years. At one point, my closest team was 9 hours away and once Charlotte is in I’ll have three within four hours.

Also worth noting that Miami has been fined and sanctioned for roster violations.

Entering the season they had to dump a player they’d paid upwards of 9 million dollars to acquire, just to become compliant with league rules.

They don’t know what the hell they're doing.

  21. The stadium situation has also been a colossal disaster.

Mike Ashley still owns Newcastle too. Must put the others down to 2nd and 3rd?
