Yeah the post on the main page says a few bands had to drop off including Worriers and GB.

Really sucks that Gorilla Biscuits dropped off but... Overall? This schedule doesn't fill me with the anxiety I thought it would. Definitely a few bummer "miss-outs" for me, but it'll be worth it.

Is there an app or something that allows you to cross-compare the different venues? I forgot how much of a nightmare sorting out who is playing when/where can be. Haha.

  6. This was posted in the Fest Facebook group, it helps visualize it a little better!

Thanks! This helps me to fully visualize it a lot more.

There is usually an app that gets rolled out closer to when Fest is actually happening that will help with this as well.

One of my conflicts just got eliminated: Worriers dropped, apparently.

I would say that's a bummer but. It means I just get to see Direct Hit! instead.

fact that someone is doing a Gaslight coverset makes me feel old but also it should be a lot of fun :-)

My 2 main conflicts after a quick look are The Wonder Years/Kill Lincoln and Good Riddance/Crime in Stereo.

    Worst conflicts for me:

IATA vs. Brendan Kelly vs. Militarie Gun
Frank vs. Broadway Calls vs. WATU
    TWY vs. KL vs. Makewar
    Mustard Plug vs. Red City
HWM vs. Prince Daddy vs. Soul Glo
No Trigger vs. HWM and also Bad Operation vs. Such Gold vs. HWM
    IIOI vs. Copyrights

  14. That Frank/BC/WATU conflict is rough. Softened a bit by that WATUne Network show Sunday night though, can only assume that'll be a blast

Yeah that makes skipping WATU a little easier but don't know what I'm gonna do about Frank and BC. Probably BC

Hoping HWM is doing a secret set even though those are all littered with conflicts too haha

If I had to put money on Friday's secret set at High Dive I would say it is A Wilhelm Scream. I have not been to a Fest in which they did not play a mystery set and the last one was at High Dive 2 years ago.

  17. BC posted something about how everyone should be listening to their new album because they're going to be playing a lot of songs from it, which I totally get, but I'm not as into it as their older stuff. And I have a hope that Frank will cater a bit more to the punk crowd and lean on those songs more than usual which entices me. I wouldn't be surprised if he does a solo show at some point too, though.

All that to say, I think I'm going with Frank, especially since I'll be there already for TWY.

My most bummer conflicts at this point:

Spanish Love Songs vs. Joystick (SLS will win)

Kill Lincoln/WATU/Skatune vs. Wonder Years/Frank Turner vs. Broadway Calls (ska show FTW all the way, though)

Origami Angel vs. Sarchasm (Sarcasm will probably win; just because Get Married and Telethon are after them)

Samiam vs. Kali Masi (Samiam because the people I'm with will want to see them way more hah)

Catbite (No Doubt set) vs. Pears (No Doubt cover set will win, just because it's more unique...As much as that bums me out haha)

So many bands I want to see at Knockin Boots (fka 8 Seconds)...and that place always sounds like shit. Definitely my least favorite venue. It might be a deciding factor in some of my conflicts.

Yeah not a big fan either and seems like majority of my time will be spent there too. Lot of bands that normally play High Dive are stacked in there :(

Was literally coming here to say that, not only does the venue suck, but the fact that it is called Knockin Boots Saloon is just the worst name ever.

Is it still easy to get into, at least from a "it doesn't usually hit capacity" standpoint? I remember that being the case back when it was 8 Seconds.

The times I have tried to get in there it was fine, don't think there was anyone I wanted to see the last time Fest occurred to know about the last time.

Yeah I never had an issue with capacity there
