I’m getting some definite Jerry vibes a la Fire on the Mountain in this Echo of a Rose. Autowah aside, I’m hearing some phrasing ~33:45 that’s pretty reminiscent. Killer sets from the NY shows. The whole tour has been pretty stellar.

That Arrow -> Creatures -> Moby is something else. It seems every time they bust out moby it’s the set highlight for me.

man. the Eau Claire weekend was one of the best musical experiences I've ever had I think.
Only 1000 people, camping, our campsite was 50 yards from the stage, bonus sound check show in the middle of the day, just walked up to the lawn with our camp chairs and a cooler of beer and 2 nights of Goose.
I'm still riding high, I can't wait for the soundboards.

thanks for introducing me to Goose.:fist:

You got it, man! Glad you had a great time, those shows looks looked fun. Was this your first live experience with jam-centric music? Just curious.

    Strong agree.

This sounds DOPE. Did they provide any way to shower at all? As a camper/hiker, I can deal if needed, but am just curious if they provided those accommodations.

yes, definitely my first jam-centric live music experience. it was great, everyone was just having fun, being themselves, bopping and dancing to the music.

compared to smaller club, punk/pop punk/emo shows I'm used to where it's just the pit and everyone else standing still, arms crossed and just nodding their heads - it was a great contrast.

my wife turns to me in the middle of the show night 1 and goes "these are my people!" haha

yeah the campground was really neat.
they had portapotties everywhere and cleaned them twice a day.
water stations everywhere to fill up your bottles, clean your dishes, etc.
a big shower hall with at least 10 shower stalls each for men & women.
I went for a run around the campgrounds day 2, and had no problem grabbing a shower without waiting.
food trucks for food each night, and there's a lodge on-site for drinks if you needed, but most people just brought their own.
some people's camping set ups were super elaborate and cool to see.

they apparently hold a 3 day americana/bluegrass festival at this campground every year called Blue Ox Music Festival, I am not sure what it'd be like a full capacity, but capped to 1000 people it felt super low-key and intimate.

looking back, I think we were really lucky to see Goose at a show like this.
especially compared to see the crowd of 5000 at the Denver shows this past weekend.

You are definitely lucky to see them with 1,000 people. The last time I saw them in NYC proper was in January 2020 at the Bowery Ballroom (capacity: 575). Their upcoming shows in NYC are in October 2021 at Terminal 5 (capacity: 3,000). That is an insane blowup in the span of a year and a half.

Those Montana shows seemed really cool. I think they were like 200 capacity.

  18. First time I saw them was The Sonia in Boston in October 2019. 350 capacity. Gonna brag about that for a while lol

Jam shows rule, some of the best concert vibes around. Was at Spaceberry the weekend of the fourth and going to my second Summer Camp in a month. Really wish Goose was playing that weekend or some other weekend nearby, I've really been wanting to see them after seeing this thread gush about them so much.

Yeah to @copey's point about the difference between crowds at emo/punk/hardcore and jam shows, the people at jam shows simply do not care about what they look like during a show. Is some of that copious drug use among the audience? Yes. But there's also stone sober people getting the fuck down. That general feeling is contagious.
