This ROH PPV is really solid so far. The limited crowd is a nice addition and ROH actually has a great roster right now. The only match that wasn’t really good was EC3/Flip which doesn’t surprise me as both are pushed way too hard.

Brody just destroyed Lethal. Glad ROH is pushing him so strong. You love to see it.

The ROH PPV was their best show in years and one of the best PPVs from any company over the last few years. I highly recommend that people check it out. Mike Bennett may have had his best match ever with Gresham. One of the better technical wrestling matches I’ve seen in awhile. Deppen/Lee and RUSH/Bandido were a blast. Everything else was really fun besides the EC3/Gordon match. Too bad they had honor club stream issues and couldn’t sell more tickets because this show was fantastic.

    • As far as Jimmy Uso, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that nothing is happening within WWE regarding a punishment for his DUI arrest.
    • The reasoning behind that, apparently, is that what they have planned is too important and they don’t want to screw that up. They’re building to this main event angle involving The Rock at WrestleMania next year, and Jimmy is playing a part in that.

Went to MLW and ROH this weekend.

In the instance of both companies, there are a lot of talent on that level of the Indies who are just not connecting yet. However, the influx of Lucha talent really shined on both shows.

Highly recommend tracking down Aramis vs. Arez whenever it airs on MLW Fusion, and though it went a mind-numbing 11 matches, Dragon Lee vs. Tony Deppen, Brody King vs. Jay Lethal, Rush vs. Bandido and the pre-show match of Demonic Flamita vs. Rey Horus are all worth tracking down from last night's ROH PPV.

The ROH show definitely could have cut a match or two, that’s my only minor complaint. They could have easily cut the Briscoes match or the EC3/Flip match which sucked and the booking made zero sense. The last half of the show felt rushed even though every match was pretty good.

I don't know about Griff, but Pillman Jr was waiting out/dealing with a contract from MLW before he could sign anywhere else I believe.

I think Griff was on one of those 'tier' deals all the Dark regulars were on, so this was definitely more of a "Hey, we're touring now, we want you full time" signing. (And yeah, Pillman was stuck under an MLW deal. Makes me wonder about Manders now...)

Is it an unpopular opinion that Malakai Black is an awful awful name

like I honestly think it's worse than the Retribution names

yeah, i think most people like the name

no matter what name he chose it wasn't going to be as good as aleister black
