Going to be so fun seeing the media tie themselves in knots come September, trying to claim Maguire is overrated again.

This is an interesting one. If we hadn't have renewed Cavani, I'd have liked to see Ings at United. Feel like he'd suit our system quite well.

Could see him ending up at City once they've given up on signing Kane

Agreed, with Cavani I don't think we have a place for him, but without I think it would have been an interesting buy

  4. Where do we think Tammy Abraham is going?

  5. Villa going in with a third bid for ESR lol

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Tbh, I'm pleased to see how well it's working out for a number of England players currently, but it's great to see Shaw really delivering on all that potential that was shown at Southampton now. Those opening years at United were unfortunate.

Don't get why Maguire gets questioned at all. I don't feel like he's ever been especially over-hyped. Good defender (arguably the best English CB currently) and was signed by a wealthy club, from a club who didn't need the money. Wasn't going to be cheap, was he....

    That is atrocious.

"By the time the game resumes, the clock is showing 92:40. More than four minutes have been eaten up since De Bruyne was first fouled and in that time three players have touched the ball: De Bruyne, Berardi and Donnarumma."

I love it. Teams should do it more often, just put cheeky bids in for another teams best player, try and ruffle a few feathers and unsettle things. Great for the fans too.

Give me Wolves popping a bid in for Foden

Hey, don't bring up cheeky bids for Foden. Apparently, Everton wanted him on loan last summer!

Griezmann and Dembele on video making what I will politely call culturally insensitive remarks about Asians/the Japanese. Barca have two very high profile Asian companies as sponsors, Konami and Rakuten.

I saw something the other day saying their current wage bill is >€605 million and in order to comply with La Liga rules, they've gotta get it under €350 million or something.

    That is some deeep shite

Edit - the numbers are €671 million and $382 million. But still

As expected, this thread delivered before I could.

On top of this, they can't register any new signings until they comply. In other words, the deals for Depay, Aguero and Garcia could be off.

Oh yeah, and then there's Messi still not signing on the dotted line. He's arguably their biggest asset in terms of endorsement money (I've read it's €200m per year). The worst part of that is Messi knows about it and the ball is in his court.

If they can’t handle being more than a club, maybe they should just focus on being a club for a while.
