Xenoblade 100%

 

Odyssey is basically a perfect game so I'd go with that. If you like JRPG's Xenoblade isnt a bad choice either, but Odyssey is pure joy.

 

Okay so I FINALLY "finished" AC Valhalla (there's no way I'm going and killing all the Order people, I just looked up the ending to that plotline on Youtube lol). I'm gonna get my complaints out of the way first

- This game has no fucking business having a 70 hour story. I barely even did any side content and it literally took me 67 hours to finish, and again that's not even including the Order sidequest. I actually really liked how the story was divided into arcs but some of them added basically nothing to the story and didn't need to be there or could have been optional
- Judging from my own experience with both games, this game should have the reputation for glitches that Cyberpunk does. Legit had to reload saves to get around bugs quite a few times
- This is more of a personal thing but the different main storylines ended in a really weird order and it made the end feel really anticlimactic, which especially stung after spending so much fucking time playing the story. There isn't even a credit roll, you're kind of just done

I know it sounds like I hated the game but those are my only real complaints, I really enjoyed the story, combat system and writing, Eivor was a great character. I even really liked the modern day story again, I appreciate them putting effort into that again. The graphics are stunning too, I never got bored sailing or riding through the environments. I'll always be an Assassins Creed apologist, I've genuinely enjoyed every single game, but after the last few I really hope they don't stretch it out so much. I do actually like the added RPG elements of the last couple but I'd love a throwback to the earlier games next, although I don't see that really happening
