Didn’t an earlier trailer, released last week, suggest that the final season was going to be THREE parts??? So my guess is they do 8 episodes in August, 8 in February and 8 in August of 2022.

    So fucking stupid.

You'd have to think most of the actors in this show can't wait for this show to be done

I think they would prefer it stay on forever and keep cashing checks.

Lol yeah Norman Reedus could literally do TWD or a Daryl spinoff (which we know has to be coming) for the rest of his career and be more than set.

Honestly I’m more bummed that it’s coming to an end now because now the Rick movies seemingly won’t tie in/we won’t see Rick before the end and it also prob means Fear won’t be colliding with it either

isn't "the final season" technically 2 seasons split in half or some shit? I don't think it's going to end until 2023

I posed above the other day...there was a teaser trailer that was released last week that said Part One - August 2021 and then Parts Two and Three - 2022. Which makes me believe we'll get 8 episodes this fall, 8 more in Winter and then the last 8 August of 2022.

They couldn't possibly be dragging on this franchise more. It's impressive, really.

I never watched the bonus episodes and don't remember at all how 10 ended. Will have to rewatch most of that before S11.

It's hard enough to watch these episodes, let alone a...re-watch.

I also did not watch the bonus episodes, nor do I plan to.

Exactly... Even if the quality has gone down it still has millions of people watching and caring about it.

I disagree with the 'caring about it' portion, haha. Obviously, the franchise probably still has some die-hard fans, but quite literally everyone I know, including myself, who still watch it are doing so because they have committed so many years of their lives to watching this (literally 10+ years) that it's almost like we're still just watching because a) we feel obligated and b) we want to see how it ends after committing so much time to it.

I'd be lying if I said I still enjoy this show. It's an absolute chore to get through most episodes.

I will admit, it had gotten quite a bit better after Rick disappeared, but it's still miles and miles worse than it used to be from the earlier seasons.

Yeah there's absolutely some truth to that. I still find myself watching it live on Sunday nights and that's the only show I've ever actually done that for in a long long time. But maybe that's just because that's what I've always done throughout the shows run and its just habit.

Dare I ask how this season has been?

I have yet to watch any of the episodes. I just can't bring myself to do it.

All but 1 episode (a Darryl-centric one) have been pretty good. The one airing this coming Sunday was one of the better horror episodes they have done in quite a while.

I can't commit to giving up as I've invested so many years on it.
This season has actually been half decent, if you can see past the usual problematic areas of the show.

Huge step up in the cinematography helps

Honestly I’ve been pretty glued to the screen. Too many years invested in this to not give it my full attention and enjoy it for what it is. And I think it’s genuinely pretty good again.
