It's probably my second favourite closer of theirs.

 

Disappear is the reason New Surrender was so disappointing for me at first because it was the single and nothing else (barring "The Resistance") touched that song for me. Closest Anberlin ever got to Cities greatness on that album.

So yeah. I can jive with some of the top songs, but Disappear being at the bottom is foolishness.

Even over "Dance, Dance"???

 

I've never been a big fan of that one. I'd take Naive Orleans and maybe even Harbinger over that.

I don't honestly know how anyone made it through the list after seeing Disappear last.

 

No but fuck I forgot that one already haha. My number one is...probably wholly unique among Thursday fans hahaha

I don't think "Disappear" is their worst song, but it's also not one of the highlights on NS, which isn't one of the highlights in their discography, IMO

 

Wouldn't top 10 be (in no order, too hard) Fin, Dismantle, Paperthin, Feel Good Drag, Godspeed, Art of War, Little Tyrants, Whisper and Claimer, Alexithymia, Resistance?

Feel Good Drag is my least favorite on NTFP. Whisper and Clamor and Alexithymia are two of my least favourites on Cities (still great) nothing on Dark would come close and I've never been a big fan of Resistance either.

That was a BAAAD list (the one from Sputnikmusic). We Owe This to Ourselves may not be Anberlin's best opener, but there are a ton of songs I'd put We Owe... above. I mean, Downtown Song sure sounds like a fun summer song, but a full 49 songs above We Owe? Man, each their own. Also, I'd swap God, Drugs and Sex with Miserabile, then swap Miserabile with Harbinger.

I LOVE Hello Alone. It was so hard to narrow my list to 10... Honestly, I love 95% of the discog.

 

Agree. I started listing the songs I want to put on the top 10 and ended up with more than 20 songs! Narrowing them down to 10 was tough.

 

Shame on everyone here but one who left Little Tyrants off. I'll say that everyone's list is better than that spudnikmusic list though. I wonder if the band had to rate all if their songs, how it'd go?
