Took myself on a date for Vietnamese food, the new Woody Allen movie and a few CD purchases the other night. I'm a charming date. Conversation was a bit lacking though. Any time it got rolling, people would stare.

 

ended a year long relationship with my best friend of 3 years. it's been a rough week to say the least, but i think did the right thing. our co-dependency was awful, and i think we both wanted to end up in different places.

Then another girl matched me on Tinder last night, immediately blew up my phone with messages, said she was going to bed, and left me her number. Her profile looks promising, so I'm excited to text her later.

 

Dating just seems like so much work now. Trying to find someone cool to match with while at the same time dodging random dick pics and guys that say they want a relationship but after talking find that they really just want casual sex. There's got to be a better way.

Everything is so focused on anything other getting to really know someone. I just want to marinate on that one step, but there are not a lot of folk who want to take that time. No need to make anything and I just want to enjoy what i got. if there is a connection, let's go for it.

Alcohol blurs perception when it comes to dating. Everyone is more fun when alcohol is involved. I did meet one boyfriend at the bar but we realized we had some of the same classes and bonded soberly lol
