I’m curious how this tournament will influence clubs to go after Rice, Phillips, or Bellingham. They’re all going to have moments that raise their price tags but I don’t know if that’ll keep teams away or make them actually pay above value.

Rice to Chelsea has been rumored for awhile and I think it happens eventually. Phillips will end up at City just because that’s how it goes. Bellingham is probably another year away from a move though.

 

We've hopefully swerved him. That's what happened to Nuno. Jim White has contacts with our owner Moshiri, though, so the Benitez rumours must have some substance.

Every midfielder in the world needs to watch Locatelli’s run there. Beautiful. I love late runs into the box and his movement to pull towards the back post was great.

 

I think we would of went in for Locatelli had Ancelotti stayed. I'm not saying we would of got him mind you. I just hope he doesn't end up at Spurs now.

Here's a question: where does Verratti fit into this midfield once he's fit? It's already functioning perfectly.

 

He's their country's best player, so it could go either as a detraction since the team plays better as a whole, or a ready made insertion on either side of Jorginho.
