    No Fun. Not Ever.

"Former WWE NXT, Ring of Honor and TNA Champion Samoa Joe is back with World Wrestling Entertainment after being released this past April by the company. Joe will be working exclusively for the WWE NXT brand. "

I think the Eli Drake character was a lot of fucking fun as a character. His wrestling leaves a lot to be desired, but his on screen personality is great. The match last night was good too. I don't know what his character is like in NXT. I did hear Barrett do a call back to his facts of life gimmick though, which was nice.

The first person that tells Samoa Joe he needs better security is going to become an IWC god.

Never really watched him until Powerrr and I thought he was one of the better parts of the show. He really doesn’t fit in the NXT style though. I’m surprised he’s not on Raw or Smackdown. He can be the mainstay midcard guy there. In a Miz type role

Knight is fine, there's kind of a dearth of talkers/big personalities in nxt at the moment.

Takeover was fine. The wrestlers are talented enough that they'll almost never have a bad event just because you can count on the talent to bust their asses.

The product is bland, stale, and uninspired, though. You could tell by the crowd reactions (albeit from a small audience) that a lot of the acts they've tried to get over during the CWC era just haven't clicked. Karrion Kross, especially, just seems to garner a collective shrug. He's got a cool entrance and that's about where it stops.

They're also going to be battling the constant uphill battle of trying to make Adam Cole a bad guy. This is Roman Reigns pre heel turn all over again. Anything they did with Roman was instantly hampered by the fact that the crowd had no interest in cheering him. Anything they do with Cole is immediately hampered by the fact that the crowd absolutely refuses to boo him. It's going to hurt Kyle O'Reilly, too.

Creative has settled on chaos taking the place of cohesive storytelling. It hasn't worked for WWE over the years, and it's not working for NXT now.

I think if the direction is really Joe coming in as GM, this is a good way to spin the chaotic nature getting tuned down a bit.

Yeah, I hope that the tease from Regal last night is indicative of Triple H recognizing the product has swayed a little too far from its roots.

Is she getting a decent gimmick this time around? Her NXT and Smackdown gimmicks were perfect last time around.

Nothing is going to get me to watch the drizzling shit that is Raw tho.

When NXT was at its best, there'd be maybe one guy who was out of control (a KO murdering Sami...a Samoa Joe willing to hurt anyone to get a title shot), but never half the roster, all the time, with an entire main event built with no story but chaos. Definitely good for a reset.

The crowd reaction deflating when Kross put O'Reilly out really felt like "lol Roman wins" reactions from every RAW...from excitement at something new to "of course thats how it ends"

Prices being as high as they are will do that too...I suspect a lot of people dont buy til 2-3 weeks before to see if its worth $75 for nosebleeds

    roamer. wanderer. nomad. vagabond.

the fact that this is on a weekend of a big fight makes it hard to travel on a budget for this. flights are already expensive, if available. and now these expensive tickets with even more excessive convenience charges makes this a unfortunate PASS for me.

  23. Man give me the FTR vs Bucks match already
