I've been to a handful of emo nites and you really have to just take it for what it is. It's a bar/club night where you get to listen to pop punk instead of current pop/rap. If you wanna go drink a lot with your friends and listen to MCR/PATD/FOB you'll have a great time. If you're looking for an interesting playlist of deep emo cuts, you're going to be miserable.

it's literally the buzzfeed of emo. It's generic frat bro dudes from Brooklyn capitalizing off emo culture.

that said, the dudes themselves are so annoying. They constantly stop the songs to hype it up but it ends up killing the vibe most of the time. They think the crowd is there to see them and not just for a club night with pop punk hahaha

If you're down to go get drunk with a big group of friends and listen to Spotify's "pop punk essentials" playlist over a venues sound system, you'll have fun.

Wow, so many thoughts. First off, that is a crazy strong lineup. Makes me wish I bought those early bird $100 tickets last week lol
Justin Bieber is a huge get for this festival, but since when is Lil Baby a headliner? Especially with Doja Cat and Meg on the bill, Lil Baby is placed over them? Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I know nothing of Lil Baby except for that Grammys performance he did

Also I am SO in for that Rancid/Dropkick Murphys show. But they booked it at a 15,000 capacity stadium here. Guaranteed there will be multiple ticket giveaways in the weeks leading up to it

As someone who lives in Brooklyn, I can imagine the type of dude this night attracts is definitely insufferable.

emo nostalgia really makes me cringe and then being in a room full of the worst people pretending like they ever liked it just makes it sound even worse

Considering they have a Fox News moonlighter as one of their guest DJs...

The fact that Emo Nite/Emo Night charge for tickets to what is just a DJ spinning tunes (which most clubs do not charge for) is what I find to be most whack.

I need to start seeing some 10 year and “2020 would have been the 10 year so we’ll do it now” album anniversary tours from some of those tumblr era sadboi pop punk bands.

I tried to go to Emo Nite one time in San Diego, but the line was a block long down the road. Waited in line for like an hour with no movement, then finally figured out they were already full capacity. Never again

A ten year tour for Handguns or Major League would draw about 12 people so I wouldn’t get your hopes up for those lol I could see TSSF and TWY easily doing anniversary tours though.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

TWY said they're working on rescheduling the Upsides/Suburbia tour, but not sure when that's happening.

I’m not sure about that, considering it would also be a reunion tour for major league. But I kinda was picturing them as openers for some of the bigger bands I named.

  24. Yeah, TWY is for sure happening (I assume February/March). TSSF and Fireworks don't seem like they'd be into anniversary tours, but that's just my feeling. Fireworks should have a new album to tour on soon anyway. I don't think anyone is really asking for Handguns/Major League tours. Real Friends is still a couple years out from the anniversaries that people would care about, but I don't see a tour happening for those EPs/albums without Dan.

Just give me a Polar Bear Club reunion tour, please.
