The one I noticed as not being great is Motivation by Sun 41 - they did the greatest hits version in Dolby but left the AKNF version alone. The Dolby one is super muddy sounding and it really ruined the guitars.
Seems like that one got removed off the Rock playlist for First Date so maybe Apple realized as well haha.

Band logo on the merch page was updated to the TOYPAJ logo. Maybe a 20th anniversary drop coming.

 

I'd be shocked if anything besides TOYPAJ related merch gets released haha, but I will definitely keep an eye out.

 

yup, this kennyhoopla mixtape owns. normally i'm not huge on bands producing their own stuff, but it's wild to me that travis hasn't produced a blink record.

 

I feel bad for the touring drummer for kennyhoopla who needs to learn Travis’ parts.

 

I’m guessing Travis doesn’t produce Blink because the band enjoys having another voice in the process, it’s handles some of the work/dress and can give some confidence. Mark and Travis have both proven successful as producers.

 

Thank god they don’t produce their own stuff anymore, their weakest material has been self-produced

It's just hard for me not to listen to this and TTMD and wish that Travis would produce a modern Blink record, ha. They both sound so. good.

 

After seeing Skiba was on a new TFB song (along with everything else he’s done), I’d really just love for them to ditch that fucking dork and go with somebody else.

 

They are releasing 182 items of TOYPAJ theme shirts, sweatshirts, keychains. It's only merch related. Do not get your hopes up, please.

 

But yet you don't think Travis should be booted though. All three of Mark, Matt and Travis haven't helped the bands image.

 

To be fair, Skiba seems so disconnected that I think there is zero chance he knows anything personal about The Front Bottoms. Most people have no idea in general.

 

Honestly I had no idea either.

 

I think Travis is an idiot too. He’s worked with multiple abusers as well. And I also think mark has taken a pretty spineless stances on lots of things

I’d be for all for Travis and Matt losing their platforms and mark going and doing his own thing.

 

Yet I don’t think Travis Barker has ever been bigger

 

this is true and unfortunate.

 

And my feelings extend beyond just the immediate the blink camp. I find it hard to be interested in anything Skiba is involved in anymore. The same goes for Travis.

When it comes to Alk3 I’d love for Dan to just pursue his own stuff too.

 

I also don’t believe Skiba will be in the band much longer, but that’s just a gut feeling.

 

I have been feeling that way too. There just seems to be no relationship between him and Mark or Travis since 2019. Things even seemed a little off with him then during the NINE rollout.

My prediction is Tom will be back for live shows within a few years. His work with To the Stars has really slowed down, and he's getting back into performing live again. After this AVA album cycle is over, I would not be surprised at all to see him do a blink tour.

 

If blink becomes a semi-retired act, I could see Tom returning.

 

Also apparently on Discord, Mark recently said they are unsure if new blink music will be coming out this or next year. They canceled all 2021 shows with no reason given. Things just don't seem to be running smoothly in the blink camp.
