    Play the Yakuza series

I tried my Apple earphones out and it definitely sounds a bit crisper with lossless than it does with the airpods still on the 256 AAC

The new Twenty One Pilots album in atmos is incredible. Whoever did the object-based mix deserves praise. IMO the best atmos album up on Apple Music, even edging out Rodrigo's Sour.

And I'm sorry guys, but there is absolutely no way to hear the difference in lossless music over your airpods. Bluetooth simply cannot transmit that much data; only the Apple standard 256 kbps is being transmitted. Heck, the AirPods Max don't even truly support lossless when wired; the Max cannot accept an analog signal, so they have to go digital from player -> analog through wire -> digital again for the cans. So, you're technically losing information with that last digital conversion and losing some data, and therefore not lossless. But hey, I think lossless is a gimmick anyway.

Will my library automatically be converted to Spatial-capable tracks? I don't see anything about it in the Apple Music settings on my MacBook.

Can't wait to try this with my OPPOs tonight!

You have to delete the old version and download the new version of the album.

    absolutely not true lol

you only have to do that for certain albums where the new version is a "deluxe version" or whatever. most of the albums in my library that have it converted seamlessly on their own.

I've had to do it for almost all of them. A notification even pops up.

I changed mine to always on, and I removed the downloads and then redownloaded them. Also check the settings under audio quality

folklore and evermore sound excellent but they’re also two of the greatest albums ever so..

what am i missing with spatial audio? i thought that it's purpose was to simulate a "surround sound" effect. For example, I feel like I've watched some things and I feel the sound adjust when I turn my head, so when I look to the left, the voice from the left now feels like it's coming from straight ahead. when i'm listening to music, i am not hearing those types of "shifts". I do think it sounds different - like I'm listening in a big empty room where the sounds are emphasized within the space. is that what it's supposed to be?

  18. Some things sound super rad. I think Mark’s voice sounds muddy on What’s My Age Again. Just depends on the mixer/ source I suppose

Just pulled out my phone with my MagSafe wallet to see that the leather in the front has come undone like this :( would this be considered defective or covered by Apple?

Try completely removing the album from your library and then re-adding it (and downloading it if you want). You can also try navigating to the artist’s page and finding the album there.

Press and hold on the volume control in Control Center and make sure you have Spatial Audio turned on, too. Low hanging fruit but the IT guy I used to be needs to say it lol.

Found an odd one where I’m not sure I like the spatial audio version more - listen to the spatial audio version of Sum 41 - Motivation on “All the Good Shit” and then the original from Fat Lip. I think the original sounds crunchier, whereas the spatial audio one sounds kind of muddy.
