Just finished rewatching the first season, gonna start the second tomorrow. The actor who plays Homelander is incredible

I'm certainly getting that idea - I'm not arguing that the AOC character is actually good (but I still don't think she will be the main villain of the third season), I'm just saying I was surprised that it was her and I was hoping that she was going to be on the good side.

I took a character at face value and was surprised when the character didn't end up that way. sorry for wrestling with that idea in this thread.

Watched all of S2 over the past few days. Fucking great, just as good, if not better than the first season. Homelander stays an amazing character, The Boys themselves get better and better, and even though her character was obviously a piece of shit Stormfront was a really great addition. I already love Aya Cash and I'm so glad that she got such a major role that she absolutely killed, she was such a great villain. Really interesting twist with that character too

Can't wait to see where this goes next

Obviously this is a sweeping generalization, but in my experience the people with the most incoherent (to me) politics are typically age 40-55 rn. Think it’s got something to do with being a kid under Reagan/at the end of the Cold War and coming into adulthood under Clinton. Scrambled people’s radars. They can correctly identify every single thing wrong in society but get completely blindsided by the sources.

Those shows really give them no free time. The schedules are insane. There is a reason Ruby Rose cut out quick lol.

I really don’t have the slightest idea what considerations go into renewing shows far out in advance or not. Obviously they assume that a show that is currently popular is not going to drop off super hard. Contracts always seem very random and hyper-specific
