i have come around to light beer lately, especially coors light lol. When I was 23 i could drink a 4 pack of barrel aged stouts and $20 worth of mexican take out after work on friday night and play video games until 2am and still get up and run the next morning. I turn 30 next month and the thought of drinking something heavy makes my stomach hurt already.

 

I was super into the hazy IPA's but consistently drinking them and at the level is was during the lockdown was not good for my health. Fucked my acid reflux all up from how much hop acid is in those guys. Thankfully, there has been a push to have a more mixed offerings from some of my favorite breweries and Crispi Bois have been coming back. Been enjoying more pilsners and lagers due to that.

 

Yeah, I'm kind of a beer snob. I like Not Your Father's Root Beer.

I drink light beer very frequently these days. Lower calories helps. Coors Light was the early pandemic drink of choice, and now I've been on a Miller Lite kick. It is ... a fine pilsner.

I did have a few Mirror Ponds yesterday, since it was Hannah's birthday, and damn, that's still a very nice beer.

 

Haven't had a light beer since like 2012, but I remember Michelob Ultra tasting like water and being very easy to drink

 

It’s more that 6 or 7 of every craft beer ordered in america is an IPA so they’re, y’know, giving people what they want.

High life is my go-to macro beer but craft beer is SO prevalent that id be shocked if y’all didn’t have beer local craft lager options to drink than Miller lite.

Also because id be kicked out of the industry if I let it go I corrected that macro light beers are pilsners because they aren’t, they’re American light lagers which is its own category. (and also in 2018 my work became the only craft brewery to win gold for American light lager and since the world beer cup got cancelled in 2020 [wow cancel culture run amok amirite] we’re still claiming to be the raining, defending, undisputed American light lager champions.)

 

I am really just an occasional beer drinker so when I do drink it, I tend to seek out something special / unique

I was going to say the same. As just a beer nerd, I have noticed quite the shit back towards pilsners and lagers at a noticeable level maybe last summer.

Drafting Table's Pro Pils and Blackrocks Super Deleux Helles Lager are my go to's right now for the state of Michigan. Love everything that Schilling Beer does for an out of state brewery.

I mostly try to stay away from the mass-market American light beers. I'd rather have Modelo, Corona, Sol, Pacifico, Tecate, etc. tbh. Taste way better imo.

I love craft beer. Mostly stouts and porters and certain types of IPA’s, mostly hazy but regular IPA’s are good too. Not a fan of lagers and pilsners but some are decent.
