Started The Outer Worlds last night, seems like a cool game

 

It’s awesome

 

It’s like a better playing FO with a UI similar to Bioshock, i’m all for it

lol I still have a bunch of games I bought over a decade ago that I've never played.

 

It's fucking great

 

I play everything I buy, but only finish about 20 percent.

I have done much better the past year at finishing games. Prob finished about 60 percent or so. Finished a bunch of Soulsborne games NBD YALL

 

I don’t buy one til I finish one. It helps (or doesn’t help) that next gen games are now $70, which is why I haven’t played Returnal yet lol.

(a big reason why I want to play HZD so bad is, iirc, it's her first role as the main playable character)

 

Took me a long time to realize the difference between games I think are cool/look interesting to me vs games I am going to actively sit down and play through and fully enjoy my time with.

For example, New Pokemon Snap. A few years ago I would’ve foolishly spent 60 bucks on that game day one, all while knowing deep down I would play it for a couple of hours only to realize it was just more Pokemon Snap. Now that I have become a man and put aside childish things, I can sit back and watch people mess around with and enjoy games that would’ve just left me light in the wallet with nothing to show for it.

 

Beat the second boss in Returnal! JFG

I have no clue if I’m just very bad at Returnal or if the game is that tough. I’ve got about 7-8 hours in and haven’t come across the first boss yet. I also may not be a good personality fit for games in this genre lol.

 

Her character is a companion! The first one you come across. I like this game already.

Got a Switch gift card for my birthday, went with Octopath Traveler because I loved that trailer for Project Triangle Strategy so much. Loving this so far. The music is incredible and the visuals are gorgeous, and as a huge fan of classic JRPGs, I can already tell I’m going to sink an enormous amount of time into this thing.

 

Top 3 game for me. There's an old thread for the game I started somewhere on here long ago. Always down to talk more Octopath!

 

Who did you start as?

 

Parvati was my favorite character in that game, she must be protected at all costs.

 

First time it was H'aanit. I loved her Pokemon training ability lol. Added Alfyn, Primrose, and Tressa in that order for my main party.

Second time I chose the other 4, starting with Therion, then moved on to Ophelia, Cyrus, and Olberic. That was the playthrough I beat the final "final" boss

 

To anyone who played Days Gone... When you got to the south, did the entire game struggle to render? I get to points where I encounter a horde and all of the zombies are stuck in place while the environment tries to render. Or I'll talk to a saved hostage and it gets stuck because there is basically no texture on the map. Its wild how broken half of this game is for me.

 

Not on PS4 pro. Frame rate issues but nothing like that

 

Nothing like that ever happened to me when I played it, I think the only issue I had was like one or two crashes, and it kept my ps4 surprisingly quiet.
