I am SO glad that AVA and JEW aren't playing the same days at Lolla (being that they're both similarly placed on the poster for their respective days). Would have been a crisis!

 

Are you going both days? I got a Saturday ticket for Angels.

 

Going all 4 days, actually! My girlfriend and I can't make Riot this year so we said fuck it and did full Lolla. Both of us have lived in Chicago 10+ years and never been, so we are going full hog.

 

Awesome! There is some great stuff to see each day.

Part of my brain always thought the Empire Club was just some noir offshoot of The A.V. Club.

Had to order that BCR guitar mini replica. Way too cool to pass. Love Tom’s strats but that BCR sticker Gibson was always my favorite.

 

I just wish they did more clothing. The shirt is okay. Would be better without the guitar picture just slammed front and centre. Oh well.

 

They just need to make a classic BCR runner guy shirts, enamel pins, mugs, hats, etc haha. As cheesy as those would be, they would sell like crazy.

 

I ended up putting that runner guy design on stuff on Teespring so I could finally own a shirt with it since the actual band members aren't doing it haha.

 

Yeah I'd stupidly buy that runner guy stuff no problem. I have no problem with the there is lyrics on the shirt. That's kinda dope. Just slap the runner guy in rather than the guitar. Bingo bango. $$$

 

Since I play guitar, I always feel weird wearing guitar shirts out in public, haha.

 

funny story. My friend and his sister started a band back in the day. The guitarist left so they asked me to step in for a few shows. The day of a show the bass player quit the band. So instead of me switching to bass, they had their dad play bass instead. He knew all the songs, but was hysterical was that right before we went on stage he took off his sweatshirt and was wearing a Fender Guitars tshirt. He was READY!

Man, that was so funny and punk AF.

 

Haha amazing. Yeah, I think I'm just way too introverted to wear guitar shirts because it's too much of a conversation starter, haha

 

“ohhhhh you’re a fender guy? You must not be any good because Gibson is where it’s at”

 

Haha I'd love for someone to say that to me because you can quickly shut that conversation down by just saying "You're right. I'm not any good. Byeeeee!"
