Interesting title, wonder if it delves back into his hardcore roots at all.

According to this, it's "back to basics". Whatever that means haha.

“Back to the basics” is definitely awesome to hear, but as I’ve learned with the Gathering, if the lyrics are distractingly bad like the last 2 albums then it won’t matter.

I'll always be excited to check out new music from Frank but can we not do the year-long rollout thing? It's exhausting and ruins my hype for an album whenever a rollout is longer than three/four months.

Music, a steady riot in my soul. Prestigious

He’s said that it will delve into that and a bit more punk rock.

Yeah I'm definitely going to reserve judgement for myself and take what theyre describing as "back to basics" with a grain of salt lol

I wonder if the 8 month rollout is in part to maybe drive ticket sales for Lost Evenings. People may be still a little wary on going to shows like that, and maybe people would be more likely to make the decision if they knew they were also getting a limited edition vinyl as well when it is finally released. I say this because the website order section clearly states the album artwork is not final, and there is no way he would be announcing an album properly with no final artwork.

We probably would not have gotten this announcement until late summer/early fall if he was not attempting to drum up sales for the festival.

Do or do not, there is no try.

I’m into this. Catchy. Much better than BMK or NML in my opinion.

When I saw him at Slam Dunk I remembered just how fun he can be. Really hoping this is a return to form.

Ahhhh yep … very much more into this sound compared to ANYTHING on the last 2 albums.

It’s taking me a bit to believe in Frank again, but after one listen of that new song at 7:30 am in my car before work I’m into it.

Yes Frank! An immediate better song than the last few records. Has a similar spirit to PSFNP, which is a good thing.

saying that this song is better than anything on his last few records is somehow still an insult to this song, the bar has been set so low it's barely visible lol

that said, this song is just fine. i still need to know where the Frank Turner from the early 2010's went.

i just don't think he's capable of writing good lyrics anymore. even this song has some real bad spots, but the music is very good.

I think it's fine, nothing about it really excites me that much.

Yeah this current Frank and the Frank who wrote TDH (and everything before) are not the same lol

I am intentionally trying to avoid the lyrics to this because I know they will ruin the actual good instrumental/energy of this.

Enjoy this a lot, Granted, I'm one of the like two people here who actually really enjoyed BMK. Didn't listen to the lyrics much but what I did pick up on, I mostly liked (minus the Muhammad Ali line in the bridge).
