That match should be fun, but overall that Takeover card is not that exciting. Gonzalez vs Moon, Mercedes vs Xia Li and Knight vs Grimes don’t do a lot for me. I assume their will be a tag and/or CW title match added, but overall one of the weaker Takeover cards they’ve ever had.

 

Bronson/Escobar maybe?

 

My mom's been watching those and will ask me every so often if I remember seeing any of what happened in them when I was a kid. She asked me recently if I remember Mick Foley being thrown off the hell in a cell by the undertaker and I'm like how do I forget that? lol

 

lol yeah that one was another one, I just didn't mention it because I've seen that a LOT over the years. But yeah at that point the Undertaker was my favorite wrestler and that match was insaaaaane. I was like 10 about to turn 11 at the time so I wasn't quite aware of how 'fake' wrestling was, I knew some stuff and not others....but I do think I remember thinking that this Mankind was as insane and masochistic as he seemingly acted like for months lol

 

It also led me to look up the I quit match and goddamn I had forgotten the brutality of that one. THis made me lol:

EDIT: Santana Garrett too, but honestly everytime I see her name I forget that she was even signed to begin with

been lukewarm on aleister's entire wwe run(don't know that he's had anything worthwhile outside of the velveteen feud), but i think aew would offer a ton of possibilities
