    Things have changed.

It's pretty clear that because there are three headliners announced that there will be ... no more headliners announced.

Looking like there'll be lots of options if you didn't get a ticket in time for the Thursday party, The Psychedelic Furs are playing the Vic Theatre that night as well

Alanis Morissette. Garbage. Liz Phair your happening this summer. Three acts that definitely definitely definitely should be considered for riot fest.

Garbage and Liz have both played Riot before. But Alanis NEEDS to play Riot someday, damn

I don’t think Garbage has, but they would be a great add one of these years.

I was expecting them last year before that tour got announced.

I mean, I have to believe they've at least tried to book Garbage at one point or another.

For some reason I had it in my mind that they played 2018 or 2019. I’m not sure why I thought that...

Alanis Morissette doing jagged little pill is something riot totally should've considered i remember clamoring for Cranberries :(

Hell, what about a Hole reunion.

I mean, it is possible that they asked all of these people to play and were told no. It isn’t like they can force people to play the fest. If they could force people to play then we would have had that Jello/DK reunion that we know from the band that they were approached about.

Yeah, I'm not about to say that Riot didn't consider booking that tour. Artists can some times have stipulations around playing festivals (e.g., they don't want to play any and just do their own headlining gigs) and TBH, I think Alanis doing her biggest album in ampitheaters is the kind of thing that might have had such a stipulation. Especially with the tour being packaged the way it is.

A Hole reunion would have been a really cool get and if they ever tour again, I hope Riot Fest is able to book them. I would lose my mind for a Celebrity Skin album play.

Just got an e-mail saying that Circa Survive will be doing a live stream of Blue Sky Noise on June 4th. This was probably announced already and I just missed it, as I know people have been anticipating this to be a Riot Fest album play. This makes it feel all the more likely...

But out of curiosity - How do people who are big Circa fans feel about this album now? I recall people thinking it was a bit more "straight-forward" and not being into it so much. It's my personal favorite, but I'm also a relatively passive fan of theirs.

Don't they usually announce the album plays along with the initial lineup? It's already announced that Lupe Fiasco will be doing one.

it changes from year to year. 2019 and maybe another year or 2 they did but previous years they have been a later announcement.

Them having his album play on the lineup but no others listed had me worried, but they have mentioned that they will be announcing album plays sometime.

I feel like the album plays generally come pretty shortly after the initial announcement. Usually within a week. This is definitely a different year as far as that goes, but like @Pokinatcha Punk said, they've said they have some to announce...

I'm wondering if they spread it out this year because of how quickly things sold out, and they plan on using them as a way to push tickets once they go on-sale again. Would make sense to time the announcement accordingly.

Not a big Circa fan here, but I’m expecting it, not only because of the livestream, but they were due to tour it last year, and now they’re doing it next year

Actually, I have a legit question. Anyone CC fans on here wanna help out someone trying to get into them? I’ve listened to a few songs in the past, and even saw them live a couple years back, but for some reason, something isn’t clicking with me. Is there a starting point album-wise I should consider?

I have tremendous respect for them as a band/musicians, and it kinda frustrates me that for some reason I’m having trouble getting into them, since I do love that scene/era of post hardcore

Unrelated note: This is a damn good lineup, and I’m surprised none of these acts made it to Riot this year. These would really make good additions to Saturday

I used to be pretty into CC but I was more about the Inuit Sessions EP, Juturna, and On Letting Go. Anything after that was always just okay to me. Songs like Suspending Disbelief, In Fear and Faith, The Difference Between..., Stop the Fuckin' Car, Travel Hymn are some of my favorites.
