I think the only states I haven't been to are Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, the Dakotas, South Carolina, Minnesota & Wisconsin. Though I think I have been to Wisconsin I just can't remember much about it because I was very young.

It has been a minute since I’ve seen this asshat speak, but when did he start adopting the Trump hand gestures?

Asheville is great. Downtown is just several blocks of restaurants and breweries mixed with shops and art galleries (blue spiral 1 was probably my favorite gallery, some super talented people displaying their work there) and then of course the Biltmore is worth seeing. As touristy as it is, and angry as it probably makes some of us about the ever growing wealth gap and exuberance, it was entertaining and cool to see in my opinion. The gardens are really nice as well as the house itself but it is expensive, i think it was like $80 or $90 per person so if you do it, don't rush it, the house is only open till 530. We went at 11 and spent all day there and I would have regretted spending the money if we got like a 2pm timeslot or something. Also Biltmore village has a wine tasting that's complimentary with the house ticket and we had dinner in the village that was super good.

I also don't know how comfortable you are with crowds now but if you are looking to continue having a good time into the early hours of the morning, the only place we found open past 11 was the Bier Garden. All the other restaurants and bars closed between 10 and 11 (but this was back in April before the mask mandate was lifted so it may be business as usual everywhere - although Asheville is probably pretty liberal so it may still be holding out).

The comments sections on Delaware news and business social media accounts when ever they report that Biden is coming back to Delaware are absolutely deranged

Awesome thank you for the insight. Was not sure on the Biltmore tour, just the concept rubs me the wrong way but everything I have read highlights it as something you have to check out. Just starting to plan on exactly what I want to do so this might be a good change of pace to a lot of the hiking that I know I want to do (have not narrowed that down yet). Everything seems to be opening up more down there and we won't be there until July so hoping it increases as it gets closer.

Just trying to prioritize what breweries and restaurants I want to hit is already a task. I don't think we are going to be able to hit every brewery even though we are there for five days or so it seems like after looking at how many there is.

Yeah that sounds benign on the surface and like blame shifting but that’s about as blatant a dig as you’ll get from these old polite politics folks

Need more bullying, and more aggressive bullying. It works.

Obviously Biden doesn't have it in him to go that far, but it's what we need.

the frustrating thing is we know Biden COULD bully after what he did to Paul Ryan. But Old Man Biden is soft

I went to the grocery store mid afternoon for the first time since at least March of 2020. No mask mandate here anymore. From what I could see, it was like 70-30 people still wearing masks. Though a couple in that 70 were def not wearing them as securely/correctly as in the past

The weirdest thing for me now is that employees aren't wearing masks. I went to both Publix & Target and got checked out by maskless employees which made me feel like a goof for still wearing my mask. I think I still will for a while longer as there's also some pretty nasty colds going around that I don't want any part of.

Love love love Asheville. We were there for a wedding a few years back and stuck around for a few extra days.

Would highly recommend renting a car and getting out of town to hike for a few hours at some trail off the Blue Ridge Parkway! Will only take you like 30-45min to get up there and this time of year is exceptionally nice. You basically can't go wrong with any trail, some of the most beautiful land in the country on a nice day.
