Ya, I just saw that. Our owner uses TalkSport as his mouthpiece, too. So there could be legs to this rumour. Tactically, Nuno wasn't too far away from Ancelotti last season and it breaks my heart lol

  3. Maybe you'd have the upper hand on a couple Wolves players though. I've always been a big fan of Ruben Neves and I could see that being the top guy Nuno wants to bring over with him.

That's a good point. He could do a Marco Silva and bring over a key player from his previous employer e.g. Richarlison

I think his contract ends next summer and he's already told them he won't be renewing. So its either sell now or let him walk for free. Pretty shitty situation that Ajax have been left in tbh.

  6. Ah ok that makes sense then. Damn lol they really should've sold him last summer huh? Hindsight always wins.

Helpful for a club like you though, removing the possibility of Real Madrid hijacking a move for any of your targets.

  8. This is true. I just wish we'd hurry up and sort it out.

Steven Gerrard has been linked now. Bury me.

Can't see it happening. The Liverpool/Everton rivalry isn't one where it's unforgivable to play or manage for both but there has to be a gap. If Gerrard took the job at Everton now I think he'd essentially be ruling himself out of contention to take over from Klopp in 2024.

I thought Nuno had been pretty heavily linked with the Lazio job? Can't see Palace being that attractive for anyone with the way their squad is looking

Dominik Szoboszlai not fit enough to play at the Euros. Sucks for Hungary but mostly it sucks for the neutrals. Great player when fit.

What’s the logic in taking 4 right backs.

Ramsdale, White, Godfrey, Ward-Prowse, Lingard, Greenwood and Watkins are the ones not in the final squad (obviously Greenwood pulled out).

Walker can play RCB in a 3, and I've been seeing people say James can play CB too, so I guess versatility? Could argue he should have just brought a natural CB but I dunno, I'm not fussed about it here I think.

    Squad looks alright I think.

  18. I'm guessing he took 4 because Walker will play RCB again.

Walker/Maguire/Stones as the 3CB, Trippier and Chilwell as the WBs, Rice playing deep CM, and then Mount/Sancho/Foden/Kane as the attackers. That's my guess.

Would have liked to see Ward-Prowse make the team, but no obvious candidates to be dropped other than Reece James.

Should be a good 1/4 final loss again.

Tbh the only player who has been left out that I would have taken is Lingard, but then I look at the squad and can’t work out who I would leave behind.

On form it should be Sterling, who has been shit since Arteta left City (not random, it’s common knowledge that Mikel worked with him a lot to improve his form over the last two years).

Only two left backs though? And Shaw has played better for us at LCB than LWB on the rare occasions that we did go 3 at the back

Daryl Dike has officially returned to Orlando City. I wonder if a Premier League club will take the punt on him? They wouldn't want another Altidore at Sunderland.
