It’s pretty annoying seeing people like Friedersdorf completely take Fox News and Ngo at their word about this. Pretty cool, if it did even happen, though.

 

Is there anyone to even direct that tweet at? Like who thinks just not voting is activism? Most people who don’t vote and only don’t vote are either apathetic or completely jaded by politics, not self described activists.

 

I know tons of brainworm lefties who just straight-up advocate for not voting because "it perpetuates the colonial status quo" or whatever the fuck. Especially fucking college tankies.

 

You know tons??? You know they also don’t participate in any kind of direct action and call themselves activists? I am fairly politically active and anecdotally I know exactly zero people who don’t vote and claim that in and of itself makes them an activist. I do know some people who don’t vote in some elections but organize and participate in direct action. I also know too many people who don’t vote and don’t seem to do any kind of activism but none of them claim to be activists or care to be.

 

It never gets old.

 

If you’re covering for fascists by calling them “journalists” you’re a clown that doesn’t deserve to be listened to anymore about anything.

Andy’s entries schtick at this point is to get beat up and go collect right wing proud boy checks. And giving him any cover is enabling the worst of the worst.

After rewatching it now, I think it maybe wouldn’t be THAT bad if they just cut away from the pilot after a second. Having him turn around and shake the copilots hand hug the flight attendant is just so much overkill lol
