Specifically enabling his return is on the “write them off forever no questions asked” level for me, so I’m going to need a LOT more from her beyond saying she isn’t in the movie and acting like that gets her a pass. Speak out against the casting and the film in general and do whatever else you possibly can on a personal level to stop it from happening as is and then I’ll buy that you don’t support the project or the decision.

She has been so outspoken in positive ways politically her entire life without ever seeming to care who might disagree, so to be a part of this now and give such a weak response is even more disappointing.

Apparently Finley's attorney stopped representing him last year and Finley had been representing himself since then. Wouldn't be surprised if Finley was simply unable to afford to continue litigating the case against a wealthy celebrity and just allowed it to go away. So really this dismissal means nothing.

 

Seems problematic if most of the responses to you are transphobic and you’re more worried about having a trumpian response to something that you’re clearly not thin-skinned at all about.
