I feel awful for Adnan Virk. He's a good broadcaster but a terrible WWE commentator and the fact that they just put him on raw as the lead guy was a no-win situation for him.

 

Reading that he was a Khan guy going way back and that Khan really pushed for him to join the commentary table, but obviously it was not a fit.

 

He wasn’t a fit. But there’s a lot more that needs fixing besides commentary

 

WWE fired a ton of people today. Mostly editorial and online content.

WWE is axing so many employees today because a number of divisions will be “folded together” backstage under one new division. This new division will now be overseen directly by Kevin Dunn.

I get downsizing with the WWE Network gone, but, some of this just seems like them squeezing the last bits of profit out of a dying thing

There’s no way vince would ever do that

 

Vince is too business savvy to stick around for the next TV contract negotiations, because under the current model they'd be a blood bath. In no world are three combined shows pulling like 4-5 million total viewers worth $500million per year in 2024...not when these networks can churn out reality/HGTV style content for their streaming networks for 1/100th the price.

Somebody posted Shinsukes NXT debut on Reddit and fuck I got the chills. I miss that NXT. And those type of crowds. Hell I was in that crowd. I remember I was just about to walk into the restroom and Sami’s music hit and I full sprinted back to my seat

 

Jimmy Smith is replacing Virk. I enjoyed Jimmy a lot in his Bellator days and he could potentially be good if given the chance.

 

Jimmy is a great commentator. One of my favorites for MMA. I think he’ll be great
