Anyone familiar with Audioengine A5+ Classic Bookshelf Speakers?

i got the A2+ powered speakers in black when I got my Uturn back in 2017. I generally like them

 

Okay... can anyone give me the actual correct orientation for a Kallax shelf? Every picture I’ve seen of a collapsed Kallax is set up the same way as the stock pictures, and now I’m not sure how mine is supposed to be lmao.

 

Just got a tracking # notification for Starting Line vinyls.

 

I regret not ordering the Direction one.

edit: shit, I guess they’re gone. I bought Direction and BOATS and not the Best Of and the OCD of not having all 3 is going to bother me now.

 

So did I miss out on the new TOP on vinyl, or is that a delay as well???

Okay, huge gripe with u turn so far. The belt is ridiculously loose to the point where it won’t stay on the platter. Anyone have this issue?

 

its a pain in the ass to switch between 33/45 on the U Turn so I usually never switch mine to 45. Honestly you kinda just have to mess with it until it eventually catches on the platter edge. I always start by wrapping around the motor wheel and then try to get it around the platter after. Doesn't matter if it isn't straight at first, usually once you turn it on and it starts spinning it'll even out.

 

Appreciate it! I also saw something on reddit that said to put the band in the freezer (which oddly worked) haha

 

You kinda get used to the feel of switching the belt after a few times

 

It wasn’t even switching it though, it was extremely baggy to the point where it had almost an extra inch of slack haha

 

Yah I’ve had mine for over a year and I still fucking hate that feature

 

It is the only drawback from the U-Turn I can see. However, I am sure if you reached out to customer service they would send you a new belt. I should probably replace mine at some point, its gotten some wear and tear over the past few years.
