Anyone else excited? All four (!) songs out are just swell, if not pretty standard LH sounding stuff.

So pumped. Really excited about the song featuring Allison Ponthier, she has a single out now called “Cowboy” that’s great.

Enjoyed the first album, second gets a spin every year or so and kinda fell off with the 3rd. Ended up sounded repetitive, melodies aren’t as strong imo. Enjoy these singles though, definitely will check it out

on first listen, finding this pretty boring. I'm sure it'll grow on me, i love all their albums. but i miss the energy of vide noir

Long Lost, Twenty Long Years, and I Lied were the standouts for me on first listen

14 minute ambient instrumental track to close the album is certainly a choice

I read that it's an interpolation of every song on the album.

This is sadly a snoozer for me on first listen. Have liked their previous albums so that’s disappointing.

It’s pretty easily my least favorite of theirs. I knew vide noir would be hard to follow up. This is just overall too slow and all the transition tracks feel like filler.

    HAVING SAID THAT

There’s a few really great tracks (I Lied) and it’s still a pleasant listen.

Yeah this song is stunningly gorgeous.

This is typically a band I only take in small doses on mix playlists as they do get a bit same-y. But I like the tracks I’ve heard quite a bit.

    The rivalry is back on

I really enjoyed this on first listen, but I also keep waiting for them to experiment away from their bread and butter sound. After 4 albums of that not happening, I’m beginning to think that’s just not in the cards, and that’s fine

    I Lied is really good.

Is a 14 minute ambient track not enough experimentation for you? Also I'd definitely call Vide Noir their experimental album. A lot more indie rock than indie folk/americana.

I can't pull myself away from this album. I start it and just vibe out and then find myself back at the start again. This is easily my favorite release from them so far conceptually, lyrically, musically, everythingly.

Also Time's Blur is 100% inspired by Everywhere at the End of Time.

Love this record. Definitely top 2 from their discography, I dont know if I would put it above Vide Noir, which is one of my favorite albums ever, but it really has a great vibe throughout.

I know someone else sad it but Vide Noir was their experimental album. This fits closer to the first album than anything else they’ve done.
