I don't live in Chicago so I can only speculate but it seems like Pitchfork and Riot Fest are geared towards actual music enthusiasts based on their bookings while Lolla has turned into a populist gathering much like Governors Ball here in NYC which books mainstream and mainstream-adjacent acts to serve as background fodder for a day of partying and IG/Tik Tok posts.

I hope this means there's an Architects/Spiritbox tour incoming, I'd lose my shit.

Jimmy Eat World and The Front Bottoms both being on Lolla makes me wonder if that tour they were supposed to do last summer is gonna be rescheduled to this summer

Blink and The Used in Lansing got cancelled.

 

I have to assume this is part of a larger tour with the way that's spaced out, unless the majority of AVA is located in Los Angeles area and they just will fly to NYC and Chicago for one-offs.

 

With the exception of Matt (who’s in LA), everyone in AVA is based in San Diego. So I agree that some bigger tour has to be in the works

 

They can also afford to just fly to those locations and play the one offs

 

They're almost assuredly fly dates, with the full tour happening in November/December. Wouldn't be surprised if LA were the first show of the tour. November 5 is a Friday... I'd wager the album is out on or around that day.
