The Carly Rae Jepsen talk is getting even older than the normal Limp Bizkit talk.

Listen, we’re not gonna stop until Limp Bizkit finally plays Riot

So, one would say that you're just going to... Keep on rollin', baby?

Im gonna be honest, the lineup would be more exciting if Limp Bizkit or Carly were on the bill

Limp Bizkit is playing for free right outside of Chicago and people are still complaining lol

My friend and I bought those on-stage VIP tickets to that show lmao

I think it costs 30 dollars to park though, so the free show is still too much in my opinion.

Death Cab are now in play with the announcement of a September tour

If the previous line-up announcement has taught me anything, it's that bands being on tour will not necessarily equate to a Riot Fest appearance this time around.

Bands seem to really be doubling down on the "it's just a shot-run to see if it's gonna work" angle. Unless there's a blatant gap that weekend between tour dates or right at the very end (1-2 days after a tour stops), I'm not assuming anything.

With Lolla dropping tomorrow, I'm guessing that means Riot will be announcing more bands and putting those single-day tickets on-sale on Friday, right?

I'd be skeptical if Death Cab played, despite them having played already, but if they did that'd be enough to commit.

I had the same thought, and I certainly hope they’d be added

I actually really hope they pull through with the ABBA reunion they promised us at some point. That's more of a draw for me than MCR or Misfits for 2022 potentially.

They retweeted/reposted an article about the 40th anniversary of Group Sex by the Circle Jerks from last year. So I could see that being an album play and May answer the question of whether we will get some album plays that would have been expected in 2020. For instance, didn’t NFG say they planned to do their self-titled album again for the 20th anniversary?

That’s correct. I’m expecting they do that at Riot. NFG will be a higher-priority “must-see” band for me if they do that, tbh

I think it will be done through an app like Clear. I know Joe from Metro and some others are going to be using that to verify folks are vaccinated.

Circle Jerks were gonna play Group Sex on their entire tour last year, so yea.. they'll play it this year

I know it’s been touched on before, but what other album plays are we expecting/think could happen?

    A few I’m speculating:

    Smashing Pumpkins- Mellon Collie

    Circle Jerks- Group Sex

    New Found Glory- Self-Titled

Coheed & Cambria- NoWorld For Tomorrow

    Circa Survive- Blue Sky Noise

NOFX- White Trash, Two Heebs & A Bean

Motion City Soundtrack- Commit This To Memory

Kinda weird Bleachers has a suspicious midwest gap in their tour during Riot weekend, only to hit Chicago in October. Had me wondering why we would even give a damn about "radius clauses" given how the last year+ has been? I'd think playing the same city twice in a short span would be an upside rather than a downside these days.

I could see Thursday playing Full Collapse. And I’m hoping for Fucked Up to do David Comes to Life and Anti-Flag to do For Blood and Empire.

So Lollapalloza is going to be full capacity, so I have to assume that Riot Fest will be too.

I would like that since that is the only album of theirs I listened to. Why do you think that might be one?
