Deus Ex is consuming me. I have done one story mission. FUCKING ONE! And yet I've spent 8-10 hours in it. Exploring, crushing drug rings, hunting journalists, breaking into apartments from balcony windows, and saving Augs on the run.

This. Fucking. Game.

Guys, so good. I have NO idea what my end of the year list is going to look like. Still have Forza Horizon 3, BF1, Titanfall, Dead Rising 4....

 

I saw a post on neogaf that I really think hits it on the head for me.

That this is the first Deus Ex since the original Deus Ex that....well feels like Deus Ex. Like I enjoyed HR and IW but....this feels like a return to what I loved about the first. So wonderful.

 

Fiancée's parents bought me MD for my birthday so this is great to hear.

 

I am really skeptical about Titanfall 2. They took everything out of the game that made the first one so amazing. It was a day one for me, but I am going to hold off for a bit now.

 

Started Human Revolution for the third time yesterday and I think it finally clicked.

There's something fundamentally wrong with Titanfall 2. I jumped right in and have been first in every single game I've played of it and I am woeful at first person shooters.

 

Enjoy! Game is glorious.

Yeah, I've been a bit hesitant given the word I'm hearing. But, I have heard they are adjusting appropriately. We'll see how it ends up, I guess.

 

I think that is the great thing about Titanfall, you don't have to be a savant at FPS to do well in them. There are a number of ways to "excel" in them.

 

Like I said, best game of the gen so far.

 

I did not enjoy the tech test at all. :(

In a year with Uncharted 4 and Inside, I did not think this would be fighting for top spot...I knew it'd be good but hot damn.

 

Giant bomb guys; they seemed to like the side quests and the game itself, but said the main story was pretty lackluster.

Not exactly surprising since it wasn't that great in HR either.

 

I haven't finished U3 yet, so I don't really want to play U4 yet (well, I did play the first 4 chapters or so) lol

 

UC4 will probably stay tops. Game was almost surreal I felt, for me at least. It was what the Last Of Us was to so many people.

 

From what I've played so far, the story has been just fine. However, I've heard the game ends on a massive cliffhanger and ends unexpectedly, so maybe that's what irks people about the story.

 

This is beyond ugly if this is what the high end new variant of the PS4 looks like:

 

If that's the real thing, it makes the XBOX ONE look like a BMW.

 

I hit 100 on my Paladin but feel kinda guilty since I did the entire thing using invasions and it's my first 100. Currently working hard on a Priest, trying to get as high as I can before the invasions presumably stop tomorrow. I at least want to hit 60.

 

Oddly enough, I've never played WoW or any other MMO. I see them as huge time investments just to remain competitive and I just don't have the time for it.

This is the main reason I mostly play single player games. At least when I play those I feel like I'm making some kind of progress.

 

lol why do they think that tilt style looks good. everyone remember the spiderman font for ps3? this company is weird af. but honestly a tiny black box tucked away in an entertainment center looks best and that's what this will be just like the ps4

 

They definitely are timesinks, but there's no real notion of "remaining competitive," unless you're hardcore into raiding or PvP. It's a massive world, you can do whatever you like. I play entirely at my own speed, usually just hanging out friends. You can do quests, explore, go fishing, run old dungeons, etc. MMOs aren't for everyone, but I feel like the idea that you need to be playing 20+ hours per week to enjoy yourself is a big misconception. You can play as much or as little as you like and still have a ton of fun.

 

it baffles me that wow isn't on consoles
