Nevermind, just saw that Hits Daily Double is projecting this will debut at #12 with around 24k.

I'm actually impressed! I don't think they've been in the top 15 since White.

A week later I'm sooo pleasantly surprised still.

 

The Crazy Train interpolation is something only Rivers would do and his melody on top of it rules.

It's a very dumb Rivers thing to just take the Crazy Train riff and put it into one of your own songs. It's fun and silly, but I'm happy we have Briny.

 

If I'm being honest I think Briny is fine but it'd still be pretty low in my ranks even if recorded 100% faithful to the demos. Just not all that into the EWBAITE era - it was a good step in the right direction but there's a ton of misses/mediocrity even among the Ecce Homo stuff.

 

Seems like She Needs Me is the consensus weakest track! I like it but stacked against the other tracks I reckon it’d be at the bottom of my list as well, what a consistent album

I like Precious Metal Girl, but it’s toward the bottom end for me.

I love the guitar sound. I love all the guitar sounds on this album

Def hope they work with Suzy Shinn more

 

Precious Metal Girl would be on a top 20 post-Pinkerton list for me. Maybe top 15. Love it
