Lol we really are desperate to jump on anything as a clue.

“they haven’t posted much— that means it must be coming soon!!”

“they’re posting a ton— it must be coming REALLY soon!!!!”

Ticket Transfer instructions PDF just got uploaded. I would suggest not sharing this info on Reddit. Don't want some nerd spoiling the info and having Riot Fest make that directory private.

Unfortunately looks like someone on the "no lineup today' thread already wrote a detailed explanation of it with links, lol, fuckin' reddit. haha

Yeah, that's why I'm saying I would encourage people to not share outside of this thread. One person doing it is bad enough...

But y'know, since it's out there anyway: Told you all transferring tickets was going to be a relatively complicated process from a back-end perspective.

i looked at that pdf, and i cant wait to watch RF twitter person roast everyone who complains about 'how complicated' the transfer process is (its a few steps they walk you through with screen grabs, but by no means complicated)

Yeah, it's not complicated for the end-user. But I'd imagine they had to sort out how to do it from a back-end perspective with Eventbrite.

I’m keeping my tickets for this year. And using that discount we get for keeping tixs to buy next years tixs

Thursday is playing, they've expanded to add an extra day for Thursday... seems fair to assume.

Lol why do people think of stuff like this. Just cuz they play fests before and after riot doesn’t mean they are or should play riot plus more of a lolla act then a riot fest act

Lizzo would be awesome but she’s more likely for Lolla

I know it’ll never happen but I would be thrilled to see Lizzo at riot lol

What’s wrong with Lizzo/Miley/Carly? I’m not understanding. Riot Fest doesn’t have a set genre they book and they could all fit playing the festival. Lizzo is more likely for Lolla but that doesn’t mean people can’t speculate or wish for her to play. We all have bucket list acts and if someone’s is Lizzo I’m not sure what the big deal is.

Riot has always been a punk rock fest then slowly went into metal and hip hop. I don’t think they’ve ever booked a straight up pop act. They’ve also had bands that could be considered under the alternative genre of music. Riot has always stayed to one general niche of music while booking a few bands outside of that niche to fill out the lineup.

Miley is doing rock music now and people have wanted Carly to play for a while...these suggestions aren’t completely out of left field. A bunch of people liked that Lizzo post so it seems she’s a popular choice people want to play as well.

Bring back Matt and Kim, they're such a fun live band.

Also this festival booked Matt and Kim, Bleachers, Young the Giant, and Father John Misty in 2018. All four acts don’t fit what some call the traditional Riot Fest act but they played.

Lol only 80 people liked that post out of a group of over 6.5k. And most of the comments are saying no

Don't forget Fitz and the Tantrums too. And let's be real, Village People didn't fit the punk vibe, but everybody was ok with them.

EDIT: Also, I think they booked fun. in 2011 and Imagine Dragons in 2012 or so.

If you don’t like Miley or Carly (or Lizzo) that’s fine but some people do and feel they would fit playing the festival and that’s okay! They likely would fit in! (Lizzo more so at Lolla, sure, but regardless)

i dont have a problem with lizzo at riot in theory, but i have a problem with anyone in those comments saying 'if you dont want lizzo at riot that makes you a dumb racist fatphobic snowflakes" (and thats not exaggeration, someone wrote that..) thats some aggressive and obnoxious leaps of logic that only makes people not want to listen to anything you have to say

matt from matt and kim was in a hardcore band prior, jack from bleachers was in steel train, so they have the cred, and they arent straight pop either. people have had the invisible line discussion for nu-metal bands about who from the same genre fits and who doesn't, and there is similar line for pop im sure too, and everyone will have their opinion on which side those 3 pop artists fall on, but ultimately it doesn't matter what we think, its what the riot bookers think

All the bands named fall under alternative so…. Which is what I said riot does to fill out the lineup outside of their typical booking. And when it comes to lizzo Miley and Carly I feel they are all lolla acts cuz they have played there before and don’t fit what riot does.
