Cancel culture has definitely had impacts on creativity. His comment makes me think of Chapelle

 

Yeah Dave Chappelle has it really rough from cancel culture, with his multi-million dollar Netflix deals and hosting Saturday Night Live twice and all that.

 

I think we've already established he's speaking about literal cancellations due to ratings, not imaginary ones due to culture.
