Alright, second try with this album and it absolutely jams. Beginning of the End is pretty easily my favorite track and She Needs Me is up there too, but the whole album's just super fun.

Side note: is anyone else being reminded of Fuck Art by The Dirty Nil? Precious Metal Girl especially reminds me of it.

 

Yeah OK Human is complete, no mash up with that album needed

Only song I'd consider cutting from OK Human is "Screens" but yeah as an experience it works as is

 

I love Screens tho

 

Wonder how differently OK Human and Van Weezer would be received if they were released in reverse order like initially planned.

How do you compare a song to Def Leppard when it’s a Van Halen riff on an album called Van Weezer lmao

 

True. It's not that good of one either. Would make for a pretty good EP without the the first four tracks.

 

If I’ve learned anything about Weezer fans, it is to never take anyone’s word on what’s good or bad by them. Aside from the first two, opinions on the rest of their albums are vast and inconsistent. Lol

Pretty sure I'm gonna really enjoy this album but I'm sure OK Human alone is a stronger run of songs, forget putting it above White lol

 

The only song I skip is Beach Boys, otherwise the rest are not too offensive.

 

once again I would like to point out that "Mexican Fender" is a classic
