Yeah I kind of wanted Madrid. Thought we matched up better with them before this match.

Gotta be good having your team make the final twice in three years - first in 2019 and now this.

Just seen a report from ESPN that claims Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan may get banned from Europe for two years...

Did you see any reason why he isn't? It's a damn shame.

this is exactly how a super league happens.

  10. he was suspended due to an absolute ludicrous yellow in the first leg

Not if they only ban four clubs lol. Unless they ban all the clubs involved the Super League is dead and they’ll just have to accept it. No one is going to be interested in a four team tournament.

I actually think two years is harsh and would say one year for them all, with perhaps a transfer ban too, especially for Real & Juventus.

I just mean that the relationship between UEFA and these clubs is fractured enough. Any punishment (for something that never actually happened in the end) would 100% cause a permanent break that leads to the very break UEFA wants to stop down the road at some point very soon.

I think it’s far less “football history” reasons that this will happen and far more cash flow as marketing.

The two Spanish giants have the global clout to find the money they need however they can if they’re barred by UEFA for two years. The right deal and they don’t need the UCL anymore because they’ll get the money on their own.

Then you also have the question of if UEFA is willing to risk the global backlash of blocking Messi and Ronaldo from the champions league.

When the majority of UEFA’s money is from television revenue, remove those two players and those four teams and it’s not dramatic to say you’re losing ~a billion eyes on your ads.

I understand why UEFA wants to punish them. But I think a competition ban will 100% backfire on them. Especially if all four teams qualify and the whole argument has been “want it? qualify for it.”

A transfer ban as you suggested is probably the right answer (one whole season; so two windows), but because Barcelona needs a hefty transfer window I don’t like it, haha.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

There's one name that seems to be consistently brought up from most reports for the Spur's opening and it's Martinez. I'm getting scared.

The Libertines do it with Margate as well (though that's non-league).
