I can see myself only wanting to invite a small number of ppl I actually care about and my mom pressuring me to invite randos from her side of the family I barely know. My older sister already told me I better do some traditional things cause she wants to be apart of that even tho I said I didn't want to if I got married

So basically it'd just be ppl trying to talk over me and tell me what to do and i'd get annoyed and upset. Doesn't sound fun. I do have some music already picked out cause I'm super cool. Hopefully if I do get married my hypothetical fiance doesn't care to pick out the music cause I got it on lock

we invited about 100 people to our wedding, i think we ended up with 70 at the reception. was really really fun.

 

I agree with most of the things you said for sure, it is a massive money pit, I have no idea how people afford a ring and then a massive wedding and reception and then immediately a honeymoon.

I personally don't want a bridal party at all, just a very tiny gathering, less than 50 people.

A lot of weddings are very cheesy and I agree it doesn't mean you love someone more but I do think the commitment is stronger, but that is just my opinion on that, some will say a ring and a piece of paper doesn't change anything but it does a bit for me.

I've always liked weddings and felt comfortable at them. I did a lot of ring barer/bible boy gigs when I was a child and as an adult I go crazy at weddings. At my sister's wedding almost all the guys including me were shirtless and dancing around. Good times.

 

I mean, he might like all the same music anyway. Realistically, could someone who didn't love Enrique even deal with being with you?

This the most ridiculous wedding I've ever been to. 22 biblical bridesmaids. It was SO long. I was invited because I've known Russ (groom) since childhood. She was on that TLC show for bridesmaids dresses.

was at my cousins wedding last weekend and there were just two bridesmaids and groomsmen. i thought that was actually pretty cool.

 

Best one I've ever been to they gave us booze before we sat down for the ceremony. The ceremony lasted maybe 10 minutes and their buffet style reception was all comfort food made by an amazing caterer from here. They got party buses so everyone had DD's.
