Do Charlotte even have a plan for their own soccer specific stadium?

Nope. They're sharing the Panthers stadium for now. I wouldn't be surprised if Tepper tries to get taxpayers to shell out for new stadium(s) in the next 5 years though.

Not surprised, Garber got his expansion fee, so nothing else matters, lolol

Spurs fans, what would you think of Ralph Hasenhüttl as new manager? Circumstances have conspired against Southampton recently, but I still think he's a really good coach.

  5. He’s actually already bought the land across from the current stadium which will be the site of the future stadium. And it’ll be for both teams. It’s the current site of that huge pipe company. Those people are just moving to Concord and operating as normal so it kinda worked out for both sides.

But I’ve read Tepper really loved the Tottenham stadium when he went there for the Panthers game. He is using the same architecture firm that designed that stadium for the new team headquarters which has already broke ground. And the belief is that he’ll use them again for the new stadium. So, I’d imagine they will install a similar system as the Tottenham stadium where there are two fields, one for each sport, and eliminate the need for turf. It sucks that they’re using turf now but I get it. American football, soccer, and concerts year around will make it so hard to maintain that grass.

That Tottenham stadium is hands down the most breathtaking stadia I've ever been in. Breathtaking when you first walk out, the view across the field. The wall at one end too, largest single stand in Europe or something. Dying to go again in the autumn

Good info! I'm excited to check out the new HQ when it's open to the public.

Charlotte's gonna have a stadium sooner than NYCFC then lololol

Probably harder to get property in NYC...

  10. Yeah, Tepper had the advantage of a giant piece of land that’s basically directly across the street from the current stadium. They won’t even break ground for another 5 years or so, but once they have it built our uptown area is going expand past that area.

Been trying to get into MLS and found myself liking both Philadelphia Union and Seattle Sounders. Might have to watch more this year and see who I end up liking.

Be that as it may, the fact is, they play in a baseball stadium that is looking to be rid of them, and have made feeble attempts to find places to break ground, even though having a stadium plan is a condition for expansion teams to join MLS. There were talks of spots in the Bronx or near Citi field in Queens, but NYCFCs owners don't really care.

The intense zoom in on Muslim players as they break their fast mid game during this Ramadan has been a bit weird. Feels like a bit of an invasion of privacy really in what is probably a personal moment for the player.

Yeah it’s fairly weird how much coverage the fasting during Ramadan is getting in general.

Messi threw a post-training lunch to celebrate the Copa/be a good captain. They now will potentially face fines because they were all together in one place an hour after being all together in another place.

Some great title races this year, and some leagues where the perennial champions have struggled.

Inter winning Serie A for the first time in 11 years

Lille currently leading Ligue 1 ahead of PSG and Monaco.

Sporting leading Primeira Liga and could win their first league title since 2002.

Atletico leading La Liga in a title race where four teams are separated by 6 points.

Shame that the PL & Bundesliga are having predictable winners but this is great to see.
