Front half is more immediate than the back half on first listen, but man are these back half songs beautiful. I can’t wait to listen to this and nothing but this for a while.

nah. it’s their best record/biggest but definitely maybe is about as good as a debut album can get.

Honestly, just pull up Maine Road ‘96 (night Two) on Youtube and get stoked on rockbands being that big once.

    This was my description:

“Inaudible - reminds me of The Format’s Dog Problems first two songs, Matches and I’m Actual, but on a low flying slomo flying saucer adventure. I posted this earlier and still holds true with those 80's prog sci-fi moments.”

I can agree that it’s a less circusy or theatre stagey performance. I just immediately was reminded of the melody and tricks of Dog Problems first two songs. Not a copy, but felt like an influence.

We reach for the longest shadow

Andy is flexing so hard in Annie. I love it. Let it Storm is definitely the one that made me think that Andy and TSwift need to collab soon. Sounding even better the second time around.

The Oasis fan venn diagram is fucking great because it was a band that your little brother/sister and you both loved - and you’d both be right. Times a million.

I've tried to get into Radiohead and it hasn't clicked for me yet either, but as such, I literally never hear the comparisons when they are inevitably brought up whenever bands release something a little different than what they had been doing. The one that always stick out to me was people calling My Morning Jacket 'the American Radiohead' after Z came out.

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread: Oasis is fucking awesome and Anthony_ posted a pic of the only good Weezer album.

A Manchester Orchestra tour could get Oasis over in America.

I’m mostly kidding, because America sucks and hates good things.
