We reach for the longest shadow

I don't get Radiohead yet. I'm guessing it'll click for me at some point, but right now is not that point. I do generally like stuff that people say sounds Radiohead inspired though (Foxing's Gameshark comes to mind), but maybe it's because someone compares everything to Radiohead at some point or another.

  16. I just think they went in a direction I wasn't really looking for them to go in (mellow, lots of acoustic guitars) and a lot of those songs in the second half have a similar shape that idk kind of loses me (gentle slow burn to loud bridge back to gentle). it gets...kind of irritating to me? I think bed head, angel of death, keel timing, and dinosaur are excellent songs but the rest is just there for me unfortunately

it does feel like a full band version of BBIII, but i like it more than that would imply

this is actually a great comparison for a lot of the back half. don't really hear any nate ruess anything in inaudible. that one just sounds like the maze but supersized imo
    i agree with this also

That’s been a long long time coming though. Since Hope it’s been clear it’s gonna be more that than the other.

i think, as much as i do like this and especially the mellower songs, this might have benefited from a slightly altered tracklist

this was a very, very quick listen. not a commentary on the actual timing of the album, just felt like it went by very fast. really liked a lot of it. Dinosaur, Obstacle, & Annie are standouts aside from the pre-release tracks of which Bed Head is supreme. I think BH is still the best song on the album.

gonna go for a walk and/or drive with this sometime this weekend, i think it'll click way more then as opposed to now while trying to get work done.

    happy day.
