Like just saying you have a text correspondence with “the big guy” is weird, and unnecessary.

 

I was/am rewatching Sopranos at the time, if it’s any consolation.

 

Have them open for Muse. I just want to see them in a stadium with a huge stage production.

There was a MOMENT way back when where it almost looked like they were going on tour with Foo Fighters.

It was on the cycle after FF took out Against Me!

would have been gnarly.

 

I want Covet to open up for Manchester. Add them to my list.

 

Ok. I did. You posted a couple of times in mid February when Bed Head launched and have been active suddenly since yesterday. Same with slowheart. dadbolt and dylan came out of nowhere.

I don't feel like I need to be individually naming people for proof of it. I'm just trying to say that the reason this thread is suddenly a trainwreck isn't that it was operating as business as usual.

I just want people to be able to talk about the music, enjoy the camaraderie, share their insights and opinions, and it not turn into a bunch of attacks and insults and anger directed at people. Less drama. There is no abuse going on, no major issues besides a shipping thing. Just want people to be able to enjoy release week instead of all of this.

 

Threads like this are why I usually avoid the music forums.

 

To be clear it’s for reason that @Anthony_ and @phaynes12 have brought up.

 

Wish Telepath didn't end so abruptly. Also wouldn't have minded Brother Bird being a bit more prominent. I would never have known she was on it if I didn't read it.

That being said, beautiful song.

 

This is only started like a two days ago and will be over once the music drops. Happens way too often though.

 

I mean, maybe I'm just really on the outside here and have my bias, but I really didn't think what ManchesterOrch8 was doing in this thread was this horrid terrible thing that deserved this level of explosion.

It does floor me a little that so many people seem to take such issue with ManOrch8 and take no issue with phaynes' antagonistic and negative behaviors.

I'm in this thread all the time and have no idea what is going on.

I also can't imagine what could be causing such a commotion. Be cool, we got an amazing record on the way!

 

Getting new music from bands you like during a lockdown period still feels like such a gift and mental escape. Being able to talk about the music escape is also a nice escape.

Bring on a new record.

 

This is precisely why album roll outs should not be two months long anymore

 

Barnes and Noble just shipped, SC shipped (I think) all my orders, Criminal is still pending, BV is still pending, Magnolia is still pending, UK is pending, EasyStreet (basic indie exclusive) is pending.

So, maybe come Friday, I’ll have something in my hands. MAYBE.

 

Also wow is it that surprising that more people choose not to speak up when the people who have spoken up are being told their feelings aren't valid solely because they've chosen not to subject themselves to the discourse in this thread for the last two months?

 

If it helps, I only started posting as I felt like the criticism was ridiculous. So I cancel someone out :).

Would prefer to move back to the music---Bed Head grew on me, Telepath and Keel Timing have been instant hits for me.

I just find it hard to believe that being in the presence of ManchesterOrch8 is such a difficult thing to subject yourself to. Y'all are seriously acting like one user vague posting about news, flexing a test pressing, and saying we should thank the band is this toxic, harsh, abusive environment that people feel totally unwelcome and uncomfortable even setting foot in.

I'm sure people may have a wildly different perspective, but I never saw any form of attacking or shaming from that user.

 

I went through pages and pages and still can't piece together what is going on.
